Brewers fans without tickets watch World Series through windows at American Family Field
similar was done last year at roger’s centre
Dont they have a hotel with a few rooms that literally has inside the ballpark views that were going for $1000 a night? I remember reading something like that
yeah there’s a hotel in the ballpark lmao, i’m sure it was way more than $1000/day for world series
I know people who just rented a room there cause it was a lot cheaper than game tickets
Shitty upper deck seats were going for triple that. Those hotel rooms were like $10,000 a night.
I stayed in one of the hotel rooms with baseball view for a regular season game. It’s actually amazing. We could listen to the announcers on the tv and my daughter could take a break and play during the game. I wish every stadium had it!
There’s a minor league ballpark, in Lansing, I think, that has apartments with a visible view of the game.
Yep. I’ve stayed there in a room facing the field. It’s was definitely worth the extra money.
No..
Edit: my apologies. I misunderstood the comment.
In Toronto
Yes
Lmao bro just go to a nearby bar
yeah and the $15 watch parties when the team is on the road
Those tickets are selling for $500 now.
fuck it travel to Tampa lmao
With the get in prices in Tampa compared to Milwaukee it’s not a bad idea lol.
Many will.
Yeah don’t forget to add in the 10 dollar parking and full price concessions to the price of the watch party. Fuck that thing.
I’ll be at a bar.
I pay good money for rent, wifi, WE Energies and youtube TV. I have the best seat in the house, the snacks are (fuck grocery prices) as fairly priced as they can be, no line for the bathroom, my social battery is unaffected and I can suffer in peace when calls are missed or overturned. I’ll be home in my undies.
But where will they find beer or a bar in Wisconsin?!?
In Wisconsin you are always 500 feet from a bar and/or beer.
Only kinda joking.
My wife grew up in West Allis, which is just southwest of the stadium. The number of bars in that city is incredible. There were probably a dozen within three blocks of her childhood home.
But I am watching from my couch.
I went to school in West Allis. Here’s where the closest corner bar was to my middle school
Tomkens has the best wings :)
I grew up in Watertown, there’s a church on every corner and three bars in between
Funnily enough, not that close to the stadium.
There’s bars on Bluemound that are about a 10 minute walk down the hill
There’s also 4th Base and Caesar’s Inn on the south side of the stadium, just a short walk through the VA
There are bars on Bluemound. There is a residential neighborhood north of the stadium that would not allow bars but there are bars as close as possible
I think being there means more to these people than watching it at a bar ever will
if you’re there tailgating all day anyway i think it’s pretty cool. you can still feel the roar of the stadium and the fireworks from there. it’s a cool bonding experience and every inning you get to tell yourself you jsut saved another $200 by not going inside
That’s what it’s about. Celebrating with other rabid Brewers fans anywhere you can. The more, the better
no
Right? what a wild take. It’s so much cooler to actually be there even if you don’t have a ticket in. Having a window to peer into unbothered? even better!
Can say you saw something if you didn’t see it
Modern knot hole gang.
MLB will figure out how to monetize it with ticketing and concessions outside.
The Cubs certainly have in so many way.
First thing I thought of with the rooftops situations. Someone will ruin it by monetizing it, don’t worry.
And most importantly, not include it in the revenue they “share” with the players
Giants have kept their chain link fence free thankfully
Desperate fans: Cheaper tickets and concessions?
MLB: Nope!
I’ve never been to the brewers stadium can someone explain where these windows are lol
Outfield
Is the playing field below ground level?
It’s below where you walk in, yes. You walk in at the level of the concourse that is above the lower bowl of seats.
Slightly below, you can see the game from these windows
That’s pretty typical for stadiums of this size. Also for large arenas.
I watched the last few innings of game 7 of the Cubs World Series win in the reflection of a TV in a closed bar in O’Hare airport.
You gotta do what you gotta do.
SRO Pro Tip: if you wear a pair of drywall stilts you’d be able to see the field over the crowds!
