Which boon combo is best to profit from simulacrum?
Apex predators?
Additional modifiers?
I usually take 2-3x extra modifiers, 2-3 apex predators and 1 emotion boons.
Does it affect voices drop rate at all?
Ive ran 100+ simulacrums with many and many combinations and does not seem to affect that much. Apex predators seem to have the best benefit for the difficulty and picking only extra modifiers make unnecessarily hard for similar outcome. The only thing I noticed that increases the drop MASSIVELY is when the 20% chance to choose a second shard procs multiple times on a run. My first and only voice dropped, I had the thing proc i think 6 times, even so I dont think it affect the voices drop, might be a coincidence?
I have never seen the option to pick an extra boon, is it a node in the delirium passive tree? I haven’t filled that out since I hate fixed delirium when I have to pick up splinters 1 by 1
Yes there’s a node on Deli tree “Are you sure you want to do that” gives 20% chance to select multiple selections.
Regarding best one to pick. Apex Predator every time and if you get 2 options great.
Why Apex Predator? Because of Deli Node “You can’t scare me anymore” a lot of your good loot comes from this node.
The chance of dropping a voices is low. To get a 99% guarantee of a voices you’d need to run 459 maps. Of course you could roll lucky in your first run.
My experience 400 maps in 2 farming sprees.
Got a voices in first spree in map 75 or so. Didn’t drop another voices in the other 325 maps.
GL in your hunt
Just spend a few divs on raven reflections and kill the trickster a few times. You’ll get 6 points each time you kill him till you’re maxed. Also you can just throw simulacrums on all those deli fog maps in the quest area, the simu overwrites the map anyways and you’ll still get the passive point.
I had it filled out, guess I have had bad rng/not understood that I could pick more than one
I ran nearly 1k simulacrums, also a bunch while testing and recording the drops with various configurations.
Apex Predators (A) are a must for the first 3 choices at the very least. Anything else is not remotely competitive. I haven’t run much of the Pure Emotions (additional packs) since it didn’t seem even potentially good, but I did check a lot of combinations with Escalating Threats (E).
The easiest strategy to go for is 6A and it’s pretty much top tier. Any bonuses you put into E.
Both 5A1E and 4A2E are competitive with it, and with my testing over ~20 runs each, 4A2E > 5A1E > 6A. But with 20% chance to get a double, you’ll get it on average at least once before wave 6.
I only counted normal currency, so there is also the factor of apex predators adding few more potential emotions.
None of this affects voices or megalo or any other final drops.
Also worth noting that waystone modifiers to pack size and monster rarity do not work on simulacrum at all. Waystone item rarity does work, but the increase is rather negligible. Monster effectiveness does work and is a pretty significant loot increase.
Despite all the testing I still haven’t managed to notice any noticeable effect of biomes. Might have to do 1k more…
Desert biome is good because there is an Atlas passive that gives you 15% Effectiveness
There are 7 waves but you don’t chose a modifier on the first, so you got 6 modifiers pick. The 20% chance can proc a maximum of twice per wave, so the total maximum is 12 procs. Imagine throwing a die with 5 faces and obtaining the best face 12 times in a row.Even to have it procced 6 times it would be like throwing a 5-faces die 12 times and getting the best result 6 times. I think voices drop are not tied to the procs but the chance of getting voices is similar to the chance of having many procs in a run.
Does the map modifiers affect voices? Or otherwise? And map tier, what’s the most effective?
I only did a few early on, and haven’t really farmed it before.
What Ive been doing:- Number of mods on the map, 8 mods are goal- Monster effectiveness (70%+)- Map Ilvl 80+
Appreciate it.
If you can choose only one, go for Apex Predators. Then, if you’re lucky to proc for second or third, go for whatever your build can handle better. Does you build have good aoe clear? Then go for more pack size. Is your build tanky enough? Go for extra mods.
I always assumed the colour of the picks are directly tied with the standard coloring scheme of the game: white - normal, blue - magic, yellow - rare, orange - unique. That’s why I always assumed Apex Predators (orange) is best. But I have nothing to base my assumption on other than… common sense lul
Hehe, I don’t know, maybe you are right?
You’re right but not because you think you are.
There’s a node on deli tree “you can’t scare me anymore”Unique monsters have a chance to drop Potent Emotions when slain with Delirium Fog. (This affects Maps and Simulacrum)
The more Uniques you spawn the better for loot.
It just doesn’t affect Voices drop.
if you can do either, which one do you choose?
No, doesnt affect voices drop
Ok, I thought so, thx
Nothing affects voices drop. It’s a 1 in 100 chance every time you complete Simulacrum.
Every time you complete the dice rolls.
You could hit in first go or you might never get a voices. Ever!
Apex is the best because bosses drop liquids that are expensive, like ancient contempt, ferocity and such
Youre not really goin to profit much when buying keys at least solo, youre aiming to break even on keys and waystones via selling ravens and whatever ferocity/contempts drop although theyre still infrequent
Stack apex
All your profit is coming from voices and megalos. Its a jackpot farm
The best thing I’ve found that you can do is just run T16 waystones with Doryani. I drop some exceptional bases like an ancestral tiara, liquid emotions, that can be 8-15 div, I’ve had delilas desire drop and very frequently at least a div or two per run. Overall I’ve always been net positive from simulacrum this way but you have to be consistent to get a big enough drop, couple hundred divs in megalomaniac diamonds too
