The pistons are pretty much a team that everyone sleeps on until they go on a deep playoff run or win a championship and then fade back into obscurity.
Pistons didn’t make any splashy trades so they got overlooked by the collective. Shipping out Stewart to give Reed more minutes was such an underrated move.
Last year’s top seed wins another game this season isn’t much to talk about right now.

Honestly unless you win 70 games, not a lot of people will respect your team until you win 1 or 2 rounds in the playoffs. I am just being honest. Because you were great in the last regular season and then essentially lost to the Magic before the Franz injury in the first round.
Until we win 1 or 2 rounds? We were literally 1 game away from the conference finals in our 2nd ever playoff run with this young core. The Franz injury is irrelevant when you consider they were up 3-1 AND had a 20+ point lead to close us out
Yeah but you kind of did lose the Magic series, technically you won but I think with Franz they would 1000% close the series, he was amazing for them on both ends. And I am being honest here, that’s what most people think about this Detroit team, that’s just the reality whether you agree or disagree. Before people see this team, with all its flaws, from Ausar’s offensive limitations to Duren’s potential playoff falloff actually win some series, you are just not gonna get that respect and we’ll see if that’s deserved or not
