Dyson Daniels had 7 steals in 23 mins.

Aaron Wiggins saved basketball.

Hawks survived a trip to Charlotte. Which they never seem to do.

I’m so glad Wiggs is living up to the advertisement for you guys. Wiggins is forever a fan favorite in OKC. I’m glad he’s getting opportunities for Atlanta, and he’s shining in them.

He is who we thought we’d be getting with kuminga.

Beating the Magic and setting a franchise record for margin of victory? Yeah, it’s been a good start to the season

Russ12347 | ATL

17 | a day ago

How is our franchise record only 47 points? Really feels like it be more we’ve been around so long

Spencerfla | ORL

10 | a day ago

Tbf the Hawks did own the magic last year too

LugNutsDort | OKC

Basketball being saved in Atlanta 🥹

This game was not as close as the final score indicates.

But we somehow survived our annual early season embarrassing loss to the Hornets

dank-kush | CHA

35 | a day ago

Well yea cause we don’t have Lamelo anymore, the only guy who could handle the ball or run an offense. We just got a bunch of headless chickens out there who can only shoot open threes when no one can get open, absolute masterclass in gming from Jeff Peterson

The guy clearly knew for a while that he was gonna sell high on Lamelo after a healthy stretch and he just kept trading or drafting for guys that are 3 pt merchants who can’t dribble. Like the Christian Anderson pick was ass.

HaterSlayerr | ATL

5 | a day ago

I think y’all will be ok when y’all get healthy

dank-kush | CHA

18 | a day ago

I think it will be a bit better but still not good tbh

CloneWarsMaul | BOS

Somehow, brother that was a bludgeoning

Unsungruin

Wiggins might get the Hawks their third MIP in a row lol

southpawFA | OKC

9 | a day ago

I’m so happy for Wiggs. He was always a pro for us, and we don’t get the championship without him. He is going to shine with you guys this year. It sucks he just got buried in the rotation for us. He’ll always be a fan favorite for us. Treat him well.

I am trying my hardest to not get my expectations too high after only two games

HaterSlayerr | ATL

I’m waiting for the Rockets game

cosmo_bear | ATL

34 | a day ago

The Hawks were favored by 2.5

ThatHotAsian | MIN

28 | a day ago

Damn Dyson might actually average over 3spg this season lol

HaterSlayerr | ATL

4 | a day ago

Didn’t he the year before last?

amidon1130 | ATL

12 | a day ago

he averaged exactly 3.0 lol

Jacob_toasted | MIN

41 | a day ago

Feels like the hawks are one big move away from being a legit contender

traebucketsfor3 | ATL

27 | a day ago

At this point, I’ve seen 2 good halves of a season since 2017 so I’ll take a fake top 3 seed, 1 series win in the postseason

naive-dragon | PHI

59 | a day ago

They already were, they the 2nd best team in the playoffs last year

Spurs were 3rd only sadly. You guys are 4th.

Historical_Main5261 | ATL

13 | a day ago

In the offseason we said we weren’t one player away and I agree

We are, however, in a great spot to compete next year and in one of the best spots to make a splash for someone this offseason

GusBus14 | ATL

10 | a day ago

Idk this team is clearly one move away regardless of what Onsi said over the offseason lol. It has to be the right move, and it has to be a player better than someone like Jaylen Brown, but the right move could absolutely push this team into that tier.

There just aren’t any of those moves available right now

Historical_Main5261 | ATL

8 | a day ago

Let me reword

I think we are one player and maybe one large center (could be the same guy) away now, after making our bench much deeper and getting a super solid rookie

Player definitely needs to be better than Brown I think unless we upgrade elsewhere too

Specialist_Office274 | ATL

9 | a day ago

Hard to make one big move without trading some of the important guys

MegaMatrix08 | ATL

3 | a day ago

not sure who though

Jacob_toasted | MIN

2 | a day ago

in the offseason dump kispert, cut DFS, sign KAT in FA.

MegaMatrix08 | ATL

2 | a day ago

I wouldn’t want the team to just hand the max bag to him though, he’s already in his 30s

amidon1130 | ATL

1 | a day ago

fuck it why not? It’ll be a bad contract later but his game should age ok and he and jalen would be terrifying

Magictank2000 | MIL

2 | a day ago

That Trae Young fellow is being wasted over in Washington. Hawks should get that guy

Edit: Obvious joke that was missed because this sub is occupied by smooth brains lmao

Unsungruin

7 | a day ago

Yeah no thanks

HamlnHand | ATL

0 | a day ago

I cannot begin to explain to you how much better we are without Trae

TatumBrownWhite | BOS

2 | a day ago

Trey Murphy would be fire for them

MegaMatrix08 | ATL

5 | a day ago

not really

HaterSlayerr | ATL

8 | a day ago

We need a rim protector

Civil-Job-2718

3 | a day ago

We’ve always needed one since capela

stdfan | ATL

3 | a day ago

I don’t think we do. The perimeter defense is so damn elite and our rebounding is great that it’s not really a priority at all. We need a legit running mate with Jalen.

HaterSlayerr | ATL

3 | a day ago

It’s going to hurt us against teams with elite centers. There aren’t many of them but we don’t have a way to consistently defend them.

southpawFA | OKC

1 | 16 hours ago

You guys don’t think NAW can be a #1 scorer? I think NAW is going for all-star.

HamlnHand | ATL

1 | a day ago

He’d only play in garbage time with our roster. It needs to either be a big man or an all star level player

joebreezy12 | OKC

20 | a day ago

AARON WIGGINS.

that’s all

amidon1130 | ATL

20 | a day ago

I know it’s the hornets missing major guys, but our defense already looks good, like really fucking good.

MegaMatrix08 | ATL

6 | a day ago

Rebounding still needs work but its looking nice

Tommy-Truk | ATL

28 | a day ago

Aaron Wiggins is such a game changer for us

Misleading_Username | OKC

2 | a day ago

I love both of our guys you got so much and hope they light it up this year.

iCarpet | OKC

I am so glad he’s been balling out, will always love that guy

its the hawks vs naz “naz reid” reid

WitheredUntimely | ATL

7 | a day ago

I don’t know why but that shit is killing me they really don’t ever call him anything but his full Christian do they

SuperVaderMinion | MIN

1 | a day ago

We memed it back when he was still an undrafted dude with potential and then Naz just kept getting better and the meme kept growing

MonsterOnTheBoards | ATL

Biggest franchise win in history, going all the way back to St.Louis.

Happy to know I can give up on hope early now. Fun while it lasted 2026 Hornets✌️

JackTwoGuns | ATL

IF Jalen Johnson can become a 1st Team All NBA guy this is an ECF team

AcrobaticFeedback

8 | a day ago

If all-star for x team can turn into a top 5 player in the league they will be really good.

statement that can be applied to any decent team.

Educational_Nail_480

The awesome part of this is that they have to travel back to Atlanta to play the home opener tomorrow night against the rockets. I was really worried it was gonna be a dud but our guys got light play and a confidence boost in Charlotte tonight, should be a fun game tomorrow

He’d be unfair as a backup to any premier big in the league.

GoblinTradingGuide | LAC

He was the backup to Zubac for the Clippers and of course they fucked that up.

Adding Dort and Wiigdins, you’re going to keep a lot of teams to less than 100 points
