He can do that??
Everyone center except Jokic and Wemby got blessed with better 3 point shooting this year
He’s been working on it.
Queta saw Drummond and was inspired to also become a corner sniper
He had started taking them 2 FIBAS ago. Looks like he just got the green light from Joe this year though!
He’s decent at driving a closeout too for his size. It would really be something if he can hit some of these.
That and I mean when your star player passes you the ball in that situation you shoot that motherfucker
Looking like FIBA Queta out there
Really seems like Queta has added a reliable 3 to his game. Doubt he’s gonna shoot them at huge volume or start taking step backs, but if he’s wide open or as a trailer on a break away I like it.
More 3s is exactly what the Celtics need
Overall I agree with you but it’s undeniable that Queta adding a 3 ball to his game is a good thing. Plus if you can’t leave him out there it should open up the lane more
I forgot the /s
Career 9% from 3
Yeah he’d only taken 11 3PAs in his career, so it’s kind of too small of a sample size to extrapolate. He started taking 3s for Portugal while playing FIBA and has practiced taking them this preseason. It’s really his first year where he’s actually intentionally taking 3PAs.
And I’ve always heard he’s shot the 3 well for years during practice?/pre-game. Obviously in-game and outside game is different but he’s at least practiced it for a while
Now he’s about to make 9 a game from 3
That’s why they call him Corner Queta.
And by they I mean me, just once tonight
Captain Insano cannot be stopped
it’s over for the rest of the league
He always had a good shooting mechanic, although a slow one.
