Mike Conley turns 39 years old today.
Conley and Oden were on the same draft and both at Ohio state. Never would have thought that Conley would have a better career at the time, but here we are.
Or that it would be clear that would be the case for over 15 years now
Right haha
Pretty cool to be part of a memorable college team and have a meaningful impact on 3 different NBA teams as he aged (MEM, UTA, MIN).
Glad to see he’s still making $ from the Celtics, but it’s long since that he was a positive player. He’s so washed up it’s surprising they’re paying him the vet min for a few min/gm in garbage time
They’re paying him to be a mentor and for chemistry.
And he’ll be great at that, he helped curate great vibes for 3.5 years with the Wolves
Always one of the most underrated point guards of his era. Never flashy, just smart and steady for a long time.
