Would be really cool to see him pop off this year. Well not for Hawks fans but everyone else

I will keep my hopes for him even if he will have a lot of competition in Dallas I’m sure that he can be become a decent starter

Oh my god they are actually giving him on ball reps in the preseason? But Quin said he has to sit in a corner?

Happy everyone’s rooting for the kid. He still has time to figure his shit out

I’ll always pushback on people calling him a bust just because he doesn’t have the skillset of a typical first overall pick.

Zaccharie has never once in his NBA career been an outright bad player. He’s a terrific off-ball mover, always finding himself in open space and giving teammates easy pass options. He has a natural feel for the game you can’t really teach. He’s super tall (almost 6’10” now) with great length and has proven to be a good disruptor on the defensive end.

The biggest knocks against him are his poor self-creation skills- terrible handle- and his tendency to overthink when he has the ball in his hands. He’s also a streaky shooter and even then he’s never shot less than 36% from 3 for a season, so it’s not like he’s a bad shooter. I wish him the best in Dallas and hope he’s better off in an environment where his coach doesn’t absolutely hate him for no apparent reason. If he was drafted at 4 or 5 literally no one would care. Much like how no one cares about Ron Holland and Tidjuane Salaune who are both worse players.

As a hawks fan I always said, he will end up being the type of high end 3&D guy who floats around the league that is always highly valued by playoff teams throughout his career but never quite turns into a star. Sucks for the hawks but I still think he’ll have a good career

Hopefully he gets a chance with Dallas,  this is a good sign

I remember when there were talks about Masai visiting his games and him falling to the Raptors even before he was considered in the top 3 picks. And now it seems like Masai got another one of the players he’s been eyeing and would know how to utilize him more than the Hawks.

Rooting for him too. A fresh start and a clear role can change a young player’s whole trajectory, and he’s still really young.

He showing good iq

I’ve been calling him a bust since he was drafted I hope he goes off with the mavs and becomes the Scottie to coops Jordan

Rockets bench defenseless

Playing with number one picks who have that pedigree which makes the game a lot easier

Hope for him he becomes Warriors Wiggins .

don’t let the stat line fool you. he was BAD this game. His stat came once both teams put their developmental players out there.

Against the starters (because he started), he looked horrid.
