Big half for team Give PG A Chance
PG in a structure like Boston would’ve been nice years ago. He might look better than he did during his Philly stint but man.. what could’ve been
Tatum MVP season loading
legitimately i’ve been thinking it and i’m not even an annoying homer. it seems possible the celtics end up with a better record than last year (if we think of it as replacing brown with tatum and adding pg and mitch), and tatum is likely to have better stats than brown did last year just because he’s usually a much better rebounder and passer, and even a better scorer. if there’s not another great candidate, i think a like 30/9/6 tatum season on a like 55 win celtics team could win
lets be real here, it won’t be sga cuz of voter fatigue, nor will it be jokic because denvers gonna finish too low of a seed, it’ll most likely be wemby, best two way player in the league, only chance tatum has to win this mvp, is if he copies luka, by dragging the team solo to a top 3 seed averaging past 35ppg, 30ppg won’t be enough, he has to be better
if we’re framing it like that, not wanting a shai threepeat + luka and jokic leading their teams to under 50 wins + wemby missing the 65 games should be enough
There’s a non-Wemby race that everyone is competing in lol
Brother, the Celtics are blowing past 60 wins
This team is so fucking lit without Jaylen Brown
this is why i call myself “not even an annoying homer“
Just as long as he plays Justin Edwards and whoever 12 is on our team
It’s okay, he’s historically shit on your franchise so it doesn’t really matter who it is
He’s been good no doubt. Coulda used more of his old self while being one win away in the last series we played together
The Celtics were 23rd in Defensive TOV% last year. Swapping JB for PG and bringing in Mitchell Robinson will make a big difference.
George looking real good
Not gonna lie, I have low expectations for PG in Boston at the moment but if this is what he brings to the actual season then I won’t complain
PG gets hate because he was supposed to be what Tatum is, but as a #2 he is actually quite top tier and people just shit on him because it’s the funny thing to do but he’s a baller.
People shit on him nowadays because of his contract.
#2 maybe 10 years ago, as of now he’s third option at best
Which is fine tbh.
Like if I told you before the season that the Celtics would be adding an elite 3 point shooter that can play primarily off ball but create his own shot if need be, and who is also an elite wing defender (both on and off ball), Celtics fans would be talking non-stop about how he’s a perfect fit.
The Jaylen trade muddies up the fact that PG is an excellent fit on our roster.
A healthy PG is a very solid second option. The health is the key part.
PG redemption arc???👀👀
passer P
PG is cooking. When did he get good
Always been good, matter of if he can stay on the court
He started playing really well after he returned from that PED suspension
He was good when he bounced yall lmao
Still is good apparently. Giving your young starters the business
Probably motivated after all the slander
Lol preseason NBA could not be more meaningless
Unless it’s someone on your team. That’s usually how this all works.
I’d rather watch my team play well in a meaningless game then lose by 40 in a meaningless game
Preseason P
Hot sauce
Brown could never
Preseason game. 6rs don’t give a fuck.
Jaylen Brown is a coward ducking PG
