The head snapping is going to piss so many people off
dudes already mastered the head snapping and has trae as his vet lol
He held back on this one. I’ve seen him do a couple snaps that were like athletically impressive. He can and will flip his head so far back it’s upside down and looking straight behind him and he looks decapitated from the front. It’s a trip.
I love this explanation of it. Theres so much annoyance behind it
I hate this guy already and the season hasn’t started
I’ve already drafted several, reddit quality, essays on why this guy stinks. I will unleash them, with the fury of a thousand suns, as necessary.
On a real note, this kid is good. I will be watching more Wiz games this year. Trae Young voodoo doll in hand of course
Can we get a snippet?
SGA 2.0 you love to see it
6 foot 9 SGA lol
He’s gonna get so much more hate, I’m glad he’s on my team
Until refs stop calling it everyone is gonna keep doing it
the refs said it was fine didnt they
He was doing it in his very first summer league game lol.
Refs call it 9⁄10 times 🤷🏻♂️
Smiling through it all.
Can’t believe this my life.
Y’all been due for some good fortune for a while now. AJ looks legit.
This is a new era for you guys. I just wish you got a new logo and uniforms to really show it
They just need to change the name honestly.
This Wizards team gonna be fun to watch.
as a secondary Wiz fan it feels so good to watch someone who can consistently get to the rim on this team
I’m a secondary Knicks fan since moving to NYC 10 years ago, so I appreciate ya haha
This is the Wizards first real superstar prospect since what, John Wall? Gotta be happy for them
Wizards are fun again
Trae and Tre, AD/Sarr duo, AJ doing his thing. I can see this being a dark horse team that plays upset to some top teams during the season.
And former No. 1 pick, Ayton
I’m not saying this from preseason, I’d be really surprised if he never averages 30ppg
Saw him play at a big tournament his senior year of HS and he was the most polished offensive player I’ve seen at that size and age since KD.
Everyone that I was sitting with at summer league were there to watch AJ and we’re like, yeah that’s basically a young, less polished KD.
He reminds me most of T-Mac, I think.
Probably a better playmaker than KD and much more athletic, but won’t be the efficiency monster KD is (to be fair, pretty much no one is).
Excited to see how it all pans out. For contrast, I saw RJ Barrett play at the same event a few years back and he was obviously super talented but was much more raw on offense and not quite as special athletically.
God he’s so smooth, once he figures out how to handle contact from pros he’s gonna be a problem
Love his footwork on drives
The wizards are gonna be a fun team this year man. They’re at the top of my dark horse list
wizards have a cool squad
I e been waiting for this day to come
He’s talented!!
Dude carries the ball a lot. Wish the nba stopped this sort of stuff.
I’ve seen a few preseason clips of him now where he has pretty egregious carries. I’m generally not bothered by the looser travel rules of the last 20 or so years, but these recent AJ clips are actually bothering me.
Is it crazy to think he can average 25 this year? I think he can do it
Nah bc of AD and Trae. I see 18-20 for sure.
i know it isnt all that but would be dumb if that hurts him in the ROY race
only 8 rookies have ever averaged 25 and the last one was Jordan
That’s Washington Wizards legend Michael Jordan.
Another wizards legend?
The actor?
Nah we aren’t gonna force him to be the go to scorer of this team. We gonna let him get his buckets when he can get em
Yea I get that, but at the same time he seems like one of the most natural scorers to come into the league in a long time. I can see him being the guy who’s hot so often that he’s just naturally going to have the ball when the wizards need a bucket and, therefore, put up some big numbers on a consistent basis. 25 may be a stretch, but he’s definitely going to average more than 20 per game imo.
Oh he’s def gonna be our 2nd or 3rd leading scorer. Depending on ADs health. 18-20 points is where I see him at.
This might be crazy to say, but we aren’t going to be bad enough for that to happen. Too many cooks in the kitchen
Yes, it is and it won’t happen.
I think he is capable of it in a vacuum.
But not on this team, just due to lower volume being asked of him
I don’t think he can. Our team has a lot of mouths they can feed. AD, Sarr, and trae. Kyshawn George is still a better player overall too. Copper flagg ended the season phenomenally and boosted his avg to 21 pts per game. If he can get 20+ I’m elated
Yes, 25 would be crazy. Cooper Flagg was going off down the stretch and still only averaged 21.0, and he was the #1 option for most of the season. AJ is a bit more polished as a scorer than Coop coming out of college but he’s gonna get less volume. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was anywhere from 17-22 ppg
I think he’ll be 18/7/5 with +defense.
AD/Trae gonna be 1/1A. Year 3 we’ll see something in the ballpark of 25ppg. He’s THAT good.
I count three carries and two travels
Yes but nothing that is likely to get called in the nba very often
There’s genuinely nothing even close to a travel in this clip, you gotta be a better hater than that. I believe in you, tho
Telling on yourself that you don’t know ball.
No travels but lots of carries. The kind that they NEVER call in the nba though
Calling it now AJ Dybantsa and Cooper Flagg are going to be the next Magic and Bird you heard it here first
“Do it for the gram”
Shut up
theyre already giving him the superstar whistle. can’t wait to hate this dude
