ty jerome was getting 20 points in 20 minutes on like 50%fg last season when he came back from that long injury lol
some fun stuff going on in memphis super under the radar after a terrible last season but they are exciting! i really like coward
In 8 months, we are going to be very confused why two teams passed up on this guy.
The other 2 look good too bro
Exactly. One is an elite scorer to the basket. The other is a 3 level scorer with an elite midrange
Before the draft, some people in the NBA sub said they would take Caleb Wilson over Boozer.
There was also people who would have taken each of the top 4.
They all look great. I suspect everyone will be happy with the order in the end.
If Wilson hits his ceiling. It’s not a bad take
Boozer has the highest ceiling.
I’m in the opposite camp. I don’t think Wilson has a high ceiling. He’s just super athletic but ceiling is more about skill and he’s behind the top 3 in skill development. Most people think ceiling is athleticism though so I get it.
I think Wilson can be an elite Marion/Kemp like player but that’s a number 2 not a number 1 player.
well wilson has looked good too and his ceiling is higher
At first I thought you were talking about Ty Jerome. And I was thinking a lot more than two teams passed up on him.
Boozer’s my pick for ROY, but we will see.
If you plug boozer by any metric he’s one of the best American prospects we have had period. It’ll show in time
No we won’t I had boozer number 1, but doesn’t mean AJ or DP didn’t deserve to go where they went. It’s just a loaded draft
No I don’t think so. He’s always been considered the most nba ready.
Did you not see Peterson’s highlights from his most recent game? All these guys are great. There’s a reason so many teams tanked.
I mean this was expected going into this rookie year. Give it 2-3 years then we can revisit this topic.
Top 5 pg in the league Ty Jerome
Wasn’t he like 7th league wide last year (any position) in EPM or something crazy like that? Dude is an mf baller for real
Really hope he can stay healthy. Guy is pure entertainment.
Unironically super underrated
Title man, wtf
Could easily see Boozer at 20/6/6 as a rookie
Besides Luka, that’s never happened since maybe 30-50 years ago? Can someone check on that actually. Luka was like the most NBA ready prospect this century since LeBron. Boozer this good?
Based on this post from when Luka did, only him and Oscar had averaged 20 6 6 as Rookies. Lebron, Tyreke Evans, and Jordan were the only other 3 to average 20 5 5.
Ok thanks. Yea since Boozer is a big I’m gonna say he won’t average 6 assists. I know he can pass but a big putting up 6 APG as a rookie would be ridiculous. Even 20 PPG is pretty hard but I guess he has a chance on this Memphis team.
He plays more like a 10 year vet than any rookie ive seen (preseason and summer league of course). The 20 is the part I’m mostly skeptical of tbh, but the 6 and 6 more than on the table.
Boozer plays like he’s a decade older then he is and IQ through the roof. Dude doesn’t get shook at all. Looks like he been in the finals a few times.
I don’t like the way Cam Boozer runs. Reminds me too much of DeAndre Ayton running
