Started the vid mid-yawn and quickly stopped once he did that off balance jumper. Did it two more times, too. Same result. This is impressive growth! His handling still feels a bit wild, but he’s developed a lot since his rookie season.
I think his handling feels more wild than it is because he’s so tall and his gather is so high. but what’s crazy is that when he does that behind the back dribble and gathers it at mid torso height, he has the control to drop into another crossover, drive it, or gather it into a turnaround jumper instantly. it’s like a janky but effective triple threat position that he would in no way be able to pull off if he didn’t have great hands.

Compared to the general population of course but he’s not an NBA freak athlete, it’s not like PP wasn’t athletic it’s just dudes like Kawhi, LeBron, Wade, DRose, Westbrook, Kobe, VC, T-Mac were just a step above. It’s not a knock, if anything it’ll prevent bad habits.
His main draw since he was 15 has been his athleticism in juxtaposion with his defensive timing, he’s extremely athletic
