Why do so many people think this is weird? This should be standard. People talk about this all the time and it never gets justified. In the nba, the majority of teams make the playoffs. The lists just become more accurate with playoff numbers, they dont paint a different picture of what happened over the time. Plus when we do regular season only lists, the most memorable statistics arent even included ever. It makes very little sense to not include playoffs when doing all time or total numbers records

It’s weird to include because traditionally and in most cases when referencing stats like this it wouldn’t be combined

weird to exclude the games not everybody gets an equal amount of in order to put all players and teams on a level playing field, weird

Oh it says it’s regular season. OP said his list includes playoffs.

Yet Wemby is still freakishly long enough to still block 3+

Seeing players scared to shoot in the paint while Wemby is there is so crazy to watch. I haven’t checked but I’d imagine that shooting percentage drops vs him just because they can’t get to their spots or take easy layups at the rim.

you’re hating on a team for not wining multiple champions even though we’re going into 2027 with not a single team has won 2 championships this decade

in fact the last time you can say a team won multiple championships that wasn’t the Warriors is Miami

Everyone understands this new era of the CBA. The second apron is what is is. Denver is not alone in their second apron woes, literally every playoff contender has dealt with it

the reality is, the new normal is you can only win 1 championship with a great squad because everyone deserves to be paid and then you’re second aproned out

using the standards of the 90s-00s and 10’s to determine whether a team has done right by its star player or using it determine if a player is truly one of the greats is incredibly foolish. The rules have changed, from a roster construction its much harder to be good for longer

the standards needs to change.

The other day someone said Jokic isn’t that high on the all time list because he only has 1 ring.

none of the other guys have won multiple times in the 2020s and not to mention, the second half of the 2010’s was literally going against 2 top 5-10 guys every year in LeBron and Steph.

Embiid, too.

The series where AG was hurt and Jaden McDaniels owned Jamal Murray?

Jokic didn’t play well, but that entire team collapsed. We need to stop solely blaming the best player on the team when the team loses.

I didn’t say he would do better.

It speaks highly of his ability to position himself well and play the passing lanes, it’s very rare for a center to average that many steals.

The problem with guy’s defense is he’s really good at every aspect of it except the 2 most important ones for centers; rim protection and switchability.

He can be a good defender with the right system around him covering his weaknesses, we saw this in 2024 when the nuggets were the #8 defense despite fielding 2 other liabilities(mpj and murray) alongside him.

No, without context steals are not an indicator of good or bad defense.

Take Curry, early is his career he averaged around 2 steals per game but was a bad defender and needed great defensive teammates to cover for him, later in his career he became a better defender but his steals average dropped to around 1 per game because he was playing fundamentally sound defense and no longer gambling for steals.

If a player steal the ball without putting their teammates at a disadvantage great and it’s a positive, but if they playing passing lines and gambling because can’t/dont want to do their job on defense it’s a negative.

Jokic has good hands on defense, doesn’t feel like he gambles particularly often when going for steals. It’s just that it isn’t enough to overcome his almost complete lack of rim protection.

Barely? No team won even 3 games against em. Hell phoenix only took 2 games because Devin Booker shot 90% from the field for two straight games
