Bill Robinzine played seven years in the NBA. A few months after his final game, he died by suicide at 29

Bill Robinzine is one of those NBA names that’s basically disappeared.

He didn’t start playing basketball until 17, was drafted 10th overall four years later, and ended up playing seven NBA seasons, mostly with Kansas City. He was basically a solid, physical power forward, never a star, but a legit starter/rotation guy who could rebound and give you some scoring.

By 1982, the injuries had piled up and Utah let him go. No NBA offer came that summer.

People close to him later said he just couldn’t picture life without the league. A few months after his last game, he died by suicide at 29.

I went pretty deep into his story here
