Mara wasnt impressive. Our time working his ass in summer and fall made him hone in on his abilities though. I think he can only get better from here. Hes the “we got wemby at home” for us and even is hes half as good as wemby its still a huge deal for us.
He was drafted after his junior year so I don’t know how much refinement can happen over the offseason, especially with something as difficult to improve like mobility. And while he’s a giant, I doubt he’d be much of a Wemby stopper. Just way too slow to keep up with Wemby and will have to play drop almost exclusively.

He looks much better than he did in summer league. Obviously he’s been working hard. Sims couldn’t keep up
One of Chet’s issues on offense has been his hands. He struggles to gather the ball on the move, which of course limits his impact as a roller and cutter. Mara appears to have much softer hands.

i would imagine the main lineup is chet+ihart at 4⁄5. does asian jwill play the 4? or is the lineup just kinda positionless since shai jdub caruso ajay can play 1-3 sort of.

I’m a Thunder fan in OKC, and have Mara on my dynasty fantasy. I think he will get 15-20min a game tbh. He’ll get his chances, but those minutes could be more if we have injuries, or less if he’s not staying locked in defensively or displaying the effort we need, etc. Though, I think he is a smart quick thinker on the court and the mistakes he seems to make are mostly taught by experience (from what i’ve gathered so far).
Probs start out at like 10-15 minutes per game and maybe carve out more as the year goes on
