He wanted some sneaky athletic guys on the team

Lakers barely have assets and didn’t trade LeBron in a sign and trade. It’s not like they had a lot to work with. Just free agency signings from whatever was available

Hey, just because Looney moves like he’s been hit by a bus that doesn’t mean he isn’t a backup center

He’s the face of the team he has the right to ask for it and its up to Pelinka to sort it out and let him deal with the fallout as the GM, only wrong thing he did is saying he had a hand in everything so every year they get bounced in the playoffs in a tough conference he’ll shoulder the blame for the team

How tf is the best GM on the planet supposed to save the Lakers in one season with their assets without cheating

except tatum who was never told brown was being moved /s

Rob literally said

You’re too credulous.

Pretty sure she got dragged because she’s a Balmer shill

One had supposedly complete say in the roster and the other had… complete say in the roster?

IIRC the Grizzlies wanted Giddey and OKC drafting him was considered a bit of a reach at the time. Grizzlies just went BPA.

A lot of teams missed on Trey Murphy tho.

Not David Roddy, who now plays in Jerusalem?

He was a bad fit in Bkn because he’s a role players and they had no playmakers. I’m hopeful that with a limited offensive role playing off Luka and Reaves he can focus on defense and take what’s given to him on offense.

10ppg on the dogshit tanking nets is not 10ppg on a team with aspirations.

He’s also never shot 35% from 3 in his career. He’s max at 34.3% last year and is a career 32% 3pt shooter

Can someone stop you from posting uninteresting content about your team? I’d like that

I think it’s SAS = OKC > MIN > DEN and then either the Lakers or Rockets. And quite honestly if the Rockets have an actual point guard this season I would be inclined to take them as well.

I really can’t trust the Lakers to not be ass defensively when it’s nut cuttin time because Luka & Reaves are sivs on defense. And then there’s a real awkward fit of most of their bench guys being one way. Thybulle is really good in theory for this team. Until it becomes 4 v 5 and every team just ignores him on offense.

I dunno. I think if they weren’t the Lakers they’d be a quiet team with a punchers chance of making some noise in the playoffs. Which is what they should be. But I’m suuuuuuuuuper tired of hearing about them. I know they have a large fan base and it’s easy clicks and money appealing to said fan base but like this isn’t the Lakers with Kobe on it. I would much rather read or hear about the Nuggets or Wolves. Or the Rockets. Or a young and kinda intriguing team like the Grizzlies.

I mean I couldn’t have said it better myself. I think they’re going to be a regular season juggernaut and then they’re gonna get exposed in the playoffs for being booty cheeks defensively. And not only that they are probably the one team in the west that cannot survive any kind of major injury. Like if SAS has Castle or Harper go out they can survive that. Even if Wemby goes out. And OKC has proven they can survive without J-Dub & Chet. I think both SAS & OKC could even win a series without their superstar. If either Luka, Reaves, or Kessler are injured they’re so fucked it’s not even funny. And I literally saw the YMCA Timberwolves beat the Nuggets last year.

So idk. This is all silly to me I would much rather read/hear about almost any other team. Like the Pacers or Hornets as an example. But instead we have to be fed this nonsense again because Laker fans are in a cult and will read/absorb anything positive about their team. Which I get being a fan and all but it’s just annoying man.
