I’m a Knicks fan and I wouldn’t call wemby overhyped. His offensive game needs developing but he’s the best defender I’ve seen in my life by such a huge margin, it would be silly to put anyone in second place because the gap is so big.

He gets a great whistle and is allowed to do whatever he wants on the court which definitely helps, never seen a young player get the beneficial whistle he gets but that’s not his fault.

His preseason playstyle makes sense. Brunson and SGA create shots from similar spots and in similar ways but the big reason why Brunson was better at beating the Spurs and attacking Wemby was the 3pt shooting. Brunson was alot better at reading the defense and finding the gaps to take pull up 3s.
