You’re missing the point. No one is encouraging this. However, you can’t change every single person in the world. There’s maybe a few people in close enough proximity to him during a game that would be deranged enough to yell Kum Bucket at him. But it’s never zero, and it never will be zero no matter what anyone does or says. So if it really bothers him this much, it would be wise to be cognisant of how much he lets people know it bothers him, otherwise there will be people who try and take advantage of it.
I’ll give you a comparison. Someone in the past could say there may be deranged fans that will yell racial slurs but no one is encouraging it. It’s never zero, and it will never be zero no matter what anyone does or says. Players upset by racial slurs should just not let people know it bothers them.
The point being, action has to start somewhere to keep things at bay. Like I mentioned with black mold, you still have to work hard to destroy it even if it’s rooted deep.
