True you’re right I don’t remember he must have played the 3rd quarter tonight and I missed it. I’ll edit the post.

Because he played only one half in each game. 21.5 per half, or 21.5 per game, in this case, means the same

Ware and Turner tonight and Missi and Queen last night. All pretty decent players especially considering Mara is rookie although yes Queen is a pretty dodgy defender

Queen and Turner. But ¹⁵⁄₁₅ for your first two showings is pretty good either way

Kel’el Ware is allegedly supposed to not be a bum

Queen and Turner, both teams having played their starters well into the 3rd quarter.

Turner, Ware, Misi and Queen

He wasn’t going against the toughest defensive matchups, but my big takeaway was his timing as a roller and the way he ran the floor in transition. He also threw some very nice passes. He kind of reminded me of the way Dereck Lively looked in the Mavs’ Finals run before his foot fell off.

Glad you ask. For most of Mara’s minutes against the Pelicans he was going against STARTER Derik Queen. Matter of fact he blocked two of Queens shots.

Yeah hes extremely impressive but it was by far the worst defense ive ever seen played off his rolls lmao

No center has played better in preseason. He definitely deserves credit.

Maybe shitting on him during summer league games was as stupid as it is now to overhype him from preseason games.

because it’s not the same group of people. Believe or not, there are people with opposite voices in this sub.

He’s a system player, he will benefit with SGA, JDub etc. which he didn’t have during summer league. He’s an awesome player and still has so much more to improve. OKC is just getting started. They can now trully rest Chet and iHeart and have Mara and Sorber Step up.

He’s a good prospect, I’m just not going to invest much in preseason games, especially against teams like the Bucks who are both bad and extremely thin in the front court

I’d say 15-15 against the likes of Turner, Ware, and Missi actually DOES mean something. He also had 6 reb 1 block 2 ast and 0 TOs and a team best +/- of +17 last night.

He’s clearly worked hard since summer league.

The ¹⁵⁄₁₅ stuff means nothing

Pretty insane take considering that if he never even improves on his shooting from his rookie year preseason that still leaves him in the position of never missing a shot for his entire career

Will the thunder move Sorber? Dude is yet to play, and it looks like there won’t be many minutes for him barring injuries.

Exactly. And on that note, I still have question marks about him as a defender. People see a couple of blocks highlights and assume that hes nba ready as a defender but that couldnt be farther from the truth. The way he moves when guarding in space doesn’t look right to me. Obviously he has a lot of time to improve so we’ll have to see once the real games begin how he adjusts over the course of the season

They’ll prolly keep iHart for another year or 2.

Really? Do you think Michael Jordan would kill Austin Reeves? I’m interested in your opinion on basketball.

Wemby would kill everyone. That shouldn’t be the measuring stick…

Sky is blue, hes a rookie lmao

One of the best players in the league would kill a rookie. More news at 11

I think you’re missing the point, Mara is a rookie who looked like shit in Summer League and after a couple of months of training he’s shooting perfectly over 2 games playing big minutes.

If Presti drafted a player who as a rookie is better than our second place DPOY, All-Star, All-Defensive First Team forward, he deserves two statues.

Wow what a stupid ass take

That is a hot take. Chet’s stock is pretty low right now after the Spurs series but I’m still backing the Slenderman. Mara (and Sorber) being good would mean the Thunder can move off Hartenstein earlier to make space for Cason and Ajay extensions.

OKC gonna be biggest dynasty then

This dude ain’t 👀 the court for 2 yrs lol relax buddy
