The Bulls hold a moment a silence for Stacey King (RIP)
No exaggeration, he was the best thing about Bulls basketball over the past decade. Legend.
I WANT TO GO HIGHER 😭
WHAT ARE YOU DOING DRAGIC
He made even the most unwatchable blowout games feel like appointment television. A massive loss for the basketball world.
started watching the Bulls his second year as an announcer. he’s as much of the identity of the team to me as Jordan and D Rose. it’s never gonna be the same
Most definitely and especially during a lot of those difficult losing seasons. That’s one thing I have always really appreciated most as a Chicago sports fan is that we have always had some of the most best legendary announcers and play-by-play that keep us entertained even during the difficult losing seasons and not just in winning years. Whether it be Hawk and Tom with the White Sox, Norm Van Lier and Stacey (R.I.P. to both 🙏🏼) with Da Bulls to Jason Benetti also for the Sox. Plus several others I am still probably forgetting.
TOO BIG TOO STRONG TOO FAST TOO GOOD
Truely. It’s really not going to be the same with out him.
Elizabeth, I’m coming home 😢
The way they held that moment of silence right before tip-off really showed how much respect he had around the league
AAAWW LAWD!
Rip Redd Foxx too.
The greatest sports commentator of my lifetime.
I hope he knows he was appreciated well beyond Illinois. Always used to look forward to listening to him when the Wolves would play the Bulls, felt a bit like Jim Petersen for us where the entire game watching experience feels a little less special without them being a part of it. Feel for the Bulls fans out there, I would imagine it’ll be a tough listen this year.
Even in bad years for the Bulls (which is most years) Stacey was always so fun to listen to
He just loved basketball. While the Bulls sucked, he would always hype up both teams.
Million dollar move, ten cent finish.
Rip to a legend! will definitely miss hearing him call games
Bout to throw some hot sauce on these nuggs for my guy😢
It’s such a bummer the Bulls are such a miserable team. He was the only good thing the last decade.
Rip to one of the greatest commentators!!!
Oh stop it, D.rose!!!!!!
I’ll always remember the night him and Jordan combined for 70 in a game, miss you Stacey!
Still feels so unreal 💔 I’m so sad he won’t get to come up with a fun name for Caleb
Hot sauce will never taste the same 🥺 R.I.P. Stacey
Drive home safe chicago, beep beep. Gonna miss the legend
One of the goats. All the best to his family 🙏🏼
One of my favorite commentators. Loved tuning into the Bulls broadcast even though I wasn’t a bulls fan
“Let me step back and kiss myself” ❤️🕊️
But I still don’t know how to post videos to Facebook!
The guy calling out “Too Big, Too Fast, Too Strong, Too Good” at the end🥹
Lawton High’s finest.
RIP to a legend.
Our own commentator Stu Lantz is only doing home games now and I already feel sad. Reminder that all these great voices in sports won’t be around forever and to cherish them while they’re around.
Yeah, Stu Lantz is definitely a legend in his own right. He always tells it like it is.
George Blaha has been calling our games since before I was born. I’m 46 years old. I don’t know how much longer we’re going to have with him and it’s going to be so weird and sad when he’s gone.
Still can’t believe it’s real, and the reminder of his passing hit me like a ton of bricks. Commentary this season just won’t be the same, man. RIP to a legend
He was the best I’ll miss him :( making a grown man tear up in bed.
too sad man, i always looked forward to hearing him any time i watched bulls games
What a legend. We will all miss him. I’ve never seen anyone else bring such excitement to any major sport in that way. RIP
I’m going to miss hearing him call the games so much.
RIP legend, the only person that made Bulls basketball entertaining over the last 10 years 🥲
I’m gonna miss him for the rest of my life 💔
Damn I didn’t even realize he had died
Thought this was really cool, but would have been more sense to do it for the regular season opener wouldn’t it have?
RIP
Rest easy, King
made watching so many shitty games bearable
One of my favorite commentators, it was incredible while it lasted. Elizabeth, I’m coming, Lord.
As a Lonzo fan, highlight of his games was Lonzo scoring and waiting for Stacy’s “give me the hot sauce, Big Baller”. RIP man
Man, Stacey during the D Rose years was great. He will be missed.
If they don’t make a Stacey King Hot Sauce in Chicago just throw the whole city away
When I would watch games on league pass and didn’t have a preference on the game itself, I would ALWAYS go the Bulls broadcast first because of how good the announcing crew was. RIP to a legend.
Weird seeing him in #34, I always thought of him as #21. Did he wear #34 primarily?
