As I said in the other thread, Jarace has legitimately been the 2nd best passer on this team for a long time. Bro’s got crazy court vision, especially for a forward.

Nah. It’s still McConnell..dude averaged 14.3 assists per 48 minutes last year. That is even more than Haliburton averaged per 48 (13.1) in his last season.
Using per 36 to assume equal production rate for a bench player who relies a lot on higher energy in his PT while playing half of that is pretty funny
He gets 7.1 APG as a starter in his career, 8 APG when he gets over 30 minutes. No matter how you wanna slice it, he’s still probably the 2nd best passer. Dude comes in and makes plays immediately.
I’m not disputing that he’s a good playmaker, just the assumption of rate production is really misleading. I actually thought you said per 36, but per 48 is even more egregious because nobody is playing that much to even among starters and at least 36 is high starter minutes which itself can be misleading. It’s the same as saying Usain Bolt is the best 400 meter sprinter because he’s the best at 100 meter.
Also what time period are you using for his assists per game when starting? He has started fewer than 30 times as a pacer, are we using his time in Philly years ago to extrapolate things to today? Both ways you’ve framed his production have been disingenuous, either by using a threshold of play time not seen since Wilt for a whole season or incorporating stats from before D Wade retired with the stsrts
Father Time is undefeated and small guards who don’t shoot threes age particularly poorly. If Jarace can become a reliable second unit distributor (while limiting turnovers) I’ll be ecstatic
