“fast break”
Fair enough
Its preseason overreactions time 😅😂
Whenever Rudy dribbles the ball with the intent of moving towards the basket in any capacity, I both get a sense of fear, and also fist pump the air.
LEADS THE FAST BREAK is a very generous interpretation of what happened there.
he had the ball and crossed the midline doing what may constitute a dribble.
very important usage of may
Both teams were shocked for a sec when they say Rudy headed to halfcourt
I guess “manages two and a half dribbles” just doesn’t bring in the views lol
Chris Finch’s nightmare is that Rudy tries something creative and it works. Because he’ll convince himself he’s good at it and keep trying it. If this video truly was Rudy as a point-centre, dribbling the length of the court and throwing a pinpoint pass…Minnesota is in the play-in

Lamelo’s shot form shouldn’t work as well as it does
It’s actually remarkable how strong his wrists are considering he barely generates any lift on his jumps when shooting from deep range
bro fr, especially with his base but i find his jumper very pleasing aesthetically
he looks so nonchalant
Injured left one rookie year and a bit in sophomore year, but he’s bulked up since then to compensate.
He still flicks his left wrist and rotates it a bit out of habit from that first injury, and it always scared the fuck out of me.
There’s a clip where Lonzo mentions that Melo developed shooting like that because he was always undersized playing against kids 4+ years older than him. He basically finds a gap and knows how to heave that shit. I don’t think any other guard could be successfull with that jumper but he’s lowkey crazy strong from how much of his shot comes straight from his arms and he’s usually stepping back too.
LaMelo plays like he’s wearing slides
LaMelo plays like he’s wearing headphones
That’s why he’s a 4x DPOY right there
[removed]
We just saw him dominate Jokic in the playoffs.
Flairless, 13 day old account. He’s just trolling and stupid
and then got outscored by Luke Kornet and Biyombo in an elimination game while his FG% dropped 19% from regular season lol
gotta do better than just 1 good series in a playoff run
He’s won 5 playoffs series with the Wolves in his 3 years with the team. A lot of those wins coming as the underdog.
I really don’t know what more you can reasonably expect from a person. He’s a walking top 5 defense pretty much by himself and has been his entire career.
Very verybfew players in the history of the game can same the same.
It’s always nice to see when a casual self identifies
yep like opposing NBA coaches and player who beat Gobert have said the same
The longest run of sustained high tier basketball in franchise history coincides with Rudy being on the team. Including more than 2/3rds of the franchises playoff series wins. Including a series where Ant was hurt playing against the “best player in the world” where he was by a mile the best player on the court for the wolves. He’s not paid to score he’s paid to defend.
Nephew take of the day
You must be fun at parties
Everyone in this clip looks like they’re giving about 30% effort lmao
This deep in his career and Rudy still handles the ball like your slow cousin. Shit is crazy
That’s why he’s the Defensive GOAT! He sucks at offense, but his defense is so good he has to be on the floor.
He’s not the defensive goat.
He’s the defensive minmax goat
In my heart he is.
He is
Finch didn’t think so when he cut Gobert’s minutes to under 30mpg in 2025 playoffs
Cherry picking one playoff run when we played two teams with no bigs in the Lakers and Warriors is hilariously stupid lol
if they played teams with no bigs….why isn’t he playing more? can’t even dominate against midget guards lol
He might be the strongest example of all defense no offense player ever.
Dude does not look like he can even dribble but god damn that rim is gonna be defended.
I think Ben Wallace was even worse
He was. Better defender and worse scorer. People think Gobert has horrible touch only dunks. Big Ben was worse and I only hope you didn’t catch his rare face up jumpers. One of my favorite players ever though
Remember someone here saying Rudy Gobert looks like he plays basketball in a foreign language
It’s so weird that this is a highlight of him outrunning the opposing center and then making a halfcourt pass to set up the open 3 and everyone here is talking about how he has zero offense.
Yes, he has terrible hands and zero dribbling ability or outside shot. He’s also an elite screen setter, a good offensive rebounder, and lob threat. He is not a “no offense” player even if that’s the narrative yall can’t see past.
Man I love Gobert, it’s not an insult. He more than makes up for that shortcoming. Dude is a 4x DPOY for a reason.
The dude has zero offensive scoring touch whatsoever comparatively to like 99% of other modern centers by most metrics people usually consider for offense. I agree he’s a great rebounder and screen setter, but in terms of actually being able to put the ball through the hoop he is one of the last centers in the league I’d trust lol.
Oh yeah and Brunson is a bad rim protector. Burn him!!!
yeah but that’s not as much of a skill as dribbling is, rim protection is largely based on your height and weight, i’m not asking rudy to be kyrie but he looks incompetent dribbling which to me is unacceptable imo
How many 7’1” dudes with nearly 10 foot standing reach can dribble the ball well? Wemby? End list. Your length also contributes to how easy it is to dribble
i’m not saying he has to dribble WELL he just looks completely inept as if he’s never dribbled before.
kd 6’11, hell even dwight howard showed handles after nba and so did javale. anthony davis doesn’t look stupid dribbling. neither did boogie cousins. i can keep going. sabonis. giannis. joel embiid.
Its not only dribbling. Look at how he passes the ball in this clip
how many players do you know have 4 DPOYs this late into their career?
How’s that relevant to what I said
how is you talking shit relevant to this highlight post involving Rudy and Lamelo?
Sick to my stomach can’t have shit in Charlotte.
Charlotte sold at the top and won the trade. Melo wasn’t leading the franchise to no where mate.
Selling high would mean they got more than Naz Reid and a first. They just sold.
You don’t know Lamelo son. You’re gonna find out soon enough who won the trade lol Does he raise ur ceiling? Sure. The Wolves play a gritty brand of ball and I don’t think Melo is built for that or winning ball in general. Hope am wrong cus they would be so exciting to watch
You have no idea what you’re talking about.
This is has gotta be cope over picking Wiseman ahead of LaMelo right?
Second best nephew take of the day
Lmao hope you remember this comments in the near future. You traded your depth for a player that’s never being known to play winning ball.
Avg exactly 50 games per season in 6 yrs but am the nephew? Alright I accept 👍🏽
He played winning ball last season. His advanced stats were pretty good
Led them to the number 1 offence the second half of last season
6 years no playoff appearances. Played 50% of the season while getting 100% money. He scammed the hornets don’t be dense. Charlotte waited till his stock rose and promptly sold at the top. Wolves will be lucky if he plays 55 games this year.
Most players in the league get 100% money
lol you can just say you don’t watch the hornets it’s fine only 2 real injured seasons and 2 were tanking.
We’ll see who wins the trade in time. I think he’ll be great for Minny. Just missing him tonight.
None of what you said was technically wrong, and I like gobert the player a lot, but that was some of the ugliest dribbling I’ve ever seen.
Gobert the facilitator
“Leads the fast break” is nasty work to describe fumbling the ball forward until he can finally grasp it.
Nice pass though
Not sure that’s leading a fast break or a corner 3 lol
Literally thought the title was a joke about Rudy turning the ball over until I realized they’re actually on the same team 😭
Ik the nba is super lenient with carry’s and travels…But how the hell is that not a travel on lamelo
If your gonna call this a travel then there’s a travel on every basketball play, this was fine.
Damn you OP, I don’t think I ever clicked on a video so fast thinking that I was finally going to see some showtime Rudy!
Freaking Rick Rolling mofo 😡
Gobert be feasting the lobs this year.
Idk how Rudy despite being an S tier player on one end of the court still handles the ball like a rookie.
Why is his jumper like that?? Yuck.
This matchup is going to be so fun
