Looks like a legit NBA player.
Adou Thiero, on the other hand, is an absolute turnstile on defense. Isn’t he supposed to be athletic? Lots of explosiveness, but also extremely uncoordinated movement.
Yeah, he’s supposed to be our defensive stopper after he finished puberty. But I don’t see it at all with that kid.
The passing feel and pretty good shooting ability are there.
The Warriors want him to be more aggressive to score, but it’ll be a learning process as he faces bigger / stouter Cs than he’s seen in college. Clingan tomorrow vs. Portland. Kessler being in the game would have changed a number of his looks.
Good tools on D and solid 1-on-1, but point of emphasis among team and fhimself that he still needs to work on his understanding / positioning / schemes / help D.
I think the best way to describe him is that he just knows to play. I think he’s going to fall into 15/7/5 most games just by playing. The question is can he turn into something closer to 20/9/7 in the near future.
Looks to me like shades of Anunoby. Not a star ceiling, but could be an elite role player / winning player if he keeps developing and becoming more polished.
It’s funny I literally just replied to someone else on this thread with the same comp before I saw this lol. I think his floor is Big Josh Hart. I fully agree with the shades of OG and could develop into something that looks like him by the time he hits his prime.
Highly doubt he’s ever a 20/9/7 guy. That’s a very rare group.
7 assists per game is reserved for very high usage players.
For me right now the point is I can see the path there for him. I haven’t seen anything that says he can’t do that with the right usage. Still plenty to see and they might not give him the ball that much, but the noises they’re making and the flashes he’s shown leave room to run.
I agree. My point is that after watching him m so far, I don’t think the chance is 0. I think he legit has a pathway to get there with his baseline skillset and feel. I’m not necessarily saying I believe it. But I’m certainly open to the possibility.
He feels like Josh Hart - like, the numbers will be Fine, but his edge is gonna be he just never stops moving.
I agree only to the extent that I believe that’s his floor. And he has already shown to have better on ball chops imo. I think there’s a chance he can look like closer to OG Anunoby by the time he hits his prime.
Yax doesn’t necessarily want to be a star. He wants to be a good teammate who shares the ball with everyone else. It took him a while to finally take over when it was needed. He doesn’t need the ball in his hands to be impactful, which is rare for a lottery-drafted player.
The fact that players like Dray and Butler are commenting that Yax is asking them how to be effective without the ball is pretty telling. Yax understands that he needs to figure out how to be impactful in order to have a long career.
Dray, Steph, Horford, Butler and Kerr have all gone out of their way to mention his ability to play and feel for the game
He overpowered Mamu so easily, this dude is strong.
Strong like Yak
might be too early to tell but if he plays 30 minutes a night, he might f around and average a double double his rookie year
Draymond fat and old and still elite at defense/screening/passing
He never gets enough credit for how well he understands the game in real time.
if you really think about it in the truest sense with good faith, draymond is the best role player of all time.

Nah.
People are trying to sell this idea that Dray is out of shape right now based on what photo with bad lighting but he don’t look out of shape to me.
Yeah, Draymond’s basically a master at positioning now - you don’t have to run, you just stand in the right place and you totally fuck up the flow of whatever the offense is doing. He’s been doing this long enough that he reads the offense, takes two steps to the right, and blocks the cut that would’ve moved the defender to open the passing lane to the wing on the other side.
Is he still elite at following/moving screens with no call? That’s been his secret power for years
LOL get new material
Dude is strong as a mf and has a good skill level
I’d love for him to develop into a Iggy like player.
That’d be amazing.
🤩
A 6’10” Iggy is a monster
Yaxel is HUGE as a wing player, and it shows on the court. It’s pretty easy to see why he was the B1G POY and NPOY finalist. He looks like a seamless fit with the Warriors, which is exactly what they need with this current roster.
Yes yes yes. I wish JB and KP were healthy, it’d be a big boon for him, but maybe having the relative free reign of making mistakes will help
Monstar?
They’ve been calling him a 6’-10” josh hart
Which is funny because at 24 in NO Josh Hart was a 10/6/2 player with 1.5 stocks.
Fitz has all the pronunciations down already! LendenBerg, Lindaborg, Lendtheburg… :)
Love me the cheesy Fitz and Buke combo. Hometown hero broadcast is how you want your local.
I know he aged out but I really miss Jim Barnett.
Same. Was the best.
They didn’t say his name right one time haha
I’m so crazy high on him. I know he’s coming in as an older rookie, but i’m betting he’ll really be that one random one off late bloomer that blossoms into an all-star caliber player.
He just plays too smart and under control to not excel. Plus he’s this strong and quick before even having nba level training staff
Yaxel really said “first impression matters” 🔥
I think he’ll have some ups and downs as he finds out that preseason ain’t the same as regular season.
But I like him a lot, he fills some real gaps for the Warriors.
The Mavs should’ve drafted this guy but maybe Morez is the better fit with Flagg
I’m assuming May had a plan
A lot of teams that probably liked him and his skill set didn’t want to spend a top 10 pick on a 24 year old rookie, and honestly, as excited as I am for Lendeborg, I get it.
Is he wearing Jordan 11s?
Says the retros are a superstition and he’s got to wear them. Idk I hope they are modern enough to keep him healthy.
They’re not. He had multiple ankle issues wearing those at Michigan.
he made those 21 minutes count 👀
Reminds me of Loon the way he positions his hips for his advantage
Please let that be the only way his hips are similar to Looney
Quietly, this is insanely high praise. LoonGod might have the best positioning in the league. It’s kindof all he’s got.
Damnnnn I wish he had fallen to Charlotte
Granted those are nice numbers but Yaxel is 8 years older than the random scrubs he played against
Yeah the lakers loaded with 16 year olds?
Bronny is 14
Legend has it his step bro Kyrie is still 14 too
This isn’t summer league, bud.
Same age as Curry
low effort/iq take.
This was preseason, not summer league my guy.
Why does Podz look six inches shorter without the hair
I think you’ve answered your own question.
Hopefully Dray doesnt punch him
Looks like a promising young player. How long until the Kerr and Draymond run him out of town?
Hurr durr
Is he worth drafting around Pick 105-110
