The Nets are sneaky decent. MPJ and sharpe are the two most underappreciated players in the NBA relative to their talent and Randle is going to be maximized under Jordi. The depth around them is very solid if some of the second year guys can show development. Egor already looks like a hit

The upgrade from Clowney/Claxton at 4⁄5 (two non-NBA rotation caliber players) to Julius Randle and Sharpe (top 100 NBA players) is going to be huge for them. Ellis, Josh Minott and Mo Wagner are also playable rotation guys. The only way they hit the under is if Mikel Brown plays like shit. And I think Jordi would just bench him for Keon if it was that bad. 35-47ish would be my bet

B. Actually would have functional offense around Ausar given Sharpe appears to hit corner 3s

You guys need to stop being tricked by big stats on a bad team. It was Cam Johnson the previous year, everyone on here was like a contender needs to get him to win a ring. He goes to Denver, and he’s terrible.
I just don’t think MPJ would be this fun to watch on a contender. We have already seen how much of his shot making was limited on Denver cause they would frown at him taking these low percentage shots that are somehow high percentage shots for him. Hes just one of those players who needs to be on a bad team to do the crazy shit he’s capable of.
This wouldnt be an issue if he was on a team that played at a high pace like the pacers. The nuggets play a more slow and methodical style, with the main flashiness being jokic making a crazy pass, but they’re fine with it because its jokic. If the nuggets played faster and took more shots, they could sacrifice some good shots for some faster and worse looks for someone like MPJ.
Yeah the slow pace really kills a lot of guys counting stats on the Nuggets. The efficiency is bananas though because those few looks they get are going to be solid. 2021 MPJ had the most efficient 19+ppg season since WILT CHAMBERLAIN lmao
Going into last season on the Nets I think MPJ was 7th-8th all time in EFG%. Its him Jokic and 8 guys who only dunk (Deandre Jordan types) in the top 10.
He was always great for us in the regular season, he was hella inconsistent in the playoffs which is why fans hated him.I wanna see him have a redemption on a contender, he never really got to hit his ceiling with us imo.
Ya that’s a fair point he definitely never got a chance feel like there were too many mouths to feed over him. I wonder where he could go where he can compete for championships while also maintaining this level of usage. Either way, I think we know he’s more than capable of dropping his usage and playing whatever role for a contender that they ask him to.

and Sharpe is basically the Moussa Diabate archetype of the lineup in terms of being a hustle big that gets a ton of deflections and steals, and a ton of offensive rebounds while playing solid defense.
