I think that’s what they’re saying, it’s just oddly phrased. The “worse case” is that DP’s floor will be a 25 ppg scorer at some point.

If Peterson looks great out the gate, along with Ace taking a leap, is there any chance that Lauri gets moved? Especially if JJJ just doesn’t look like he can play centre?
I’d say no, but Danny Ainge is ruthless. Realistically we’d only move him for another star who fits better (or is flat out better). Trading Kessler and extending Key means we don’t really have cap issues, so no urgency there. We do need a long term solution at center, but Nurk can do a job there this year, and we would really just need a starter level guy there long term. Like Josh Green + filler for Gafford or Bitadze would work fine imo.

To me he’s the best scoring prospect since KD. Insane shooter and insane slasher, on and off ball. As long as the injury stuff doesn’t get in his way I would be shocked if he’s not an all nba guy.
His midrange transitioned easily to the league. Once the 3 transitions to the league, he’ll be unstoppable. He might have a top 5 midrange shot in the league

My biggest concern tonight was that he couldn’t get off his defender off ball. When he had the ball, he could create space. Without it, it seemed like they were glued to him. There were a ton of handoffs that were supposed to go to him that he couldn’t get because he couldn’t get any space. And this is mostly the nuggets bench.
