Let me say that again

I only belive billionaires after they do emergency interviews with Ramona Shelburne

He is a lifelong Knicks fan after all

Technically he didn’t say Embiid was late, only that SomeOne told him he was late. Mike Breen is a truther and I will always play for him

Ain’t calling Mike breen a truther

3D chess. LeBron did call him out to hold him accountable in private but is now covering for him in public. Leadership is complex

bAnG

Yes, we should all take Mr. Polymarket’s word

Imo this is just a part of a media strategy to increase pressure on Embiid. Kellerman already said on Rich Paul’s podcast that Embiid has a bad work ethic lol. Too much smoke to dismiss it.

Pretty high chance of an Embiid for AD trade if he can’t change LeBron’s opinion of him. Now all we need is Jaylen Brown going on his stream to talk about how the vibes are bad

[deleted]

Welcome to the Lebron effect lmao

literally every single day is people tryna make up a reason why this won’t work out and why u shouldnt think high of them or that they’ll actually be 6th in the East meanwhile they have quite literally been in tune with each other, fine with potential reduced roles, and all that. watch them cry superteam by Feburary

probably the main thing I’ll be ok not having anymore in terms of LeBron being on your team

Usually injuries do that

Not my monkey not my circus

Or he lying

They know the inevitable is coming.

Don’t forget every single fanbase besides Sixers fans caring about Sixers players commute to work and using that as an excuse to shit on the city.

It seems like only having one ball will make practice pretty inefficient

r/NBA thinks the Fanatics deal is shady, seemingly oblivious as to what constitutes cap circumvention

Fanatics and Mike Rubin has always been shady, don’t gloss over that like some curmedgeon

Honestly though, AD for Embiid does make a lot of sense to me

this sums it up bro. it’s the Bron special. everyone tryna come up with reasons as to why the team he’s on will fail, will TOTALLY act like they aren’t biased and that they always felt like this even before he joined said team, then if they win, it was apparently expected all along. but if they lose, the team that beats them gets crazy shouts for taking them down (even tho they’d just be taking down a team that’s not good tho right?)

I believe Mike Breen over known pathelogical liar LeBron James.

haha funny if its true

mens soap opera

Philly and Embiid is the perfect combo for that too. We’re barely one preseason game in and everyone jumped all over the first morsel of gossip

It’s been this way for almost a decade brother

This sub has never prioritized actual basketball

Since the nbas gotten popular there’s been an influx of children /people more interested in nba news rather than basketball. In the other thread people were so confident the sixers will crash and burn because of a dumb offseason rumor

been like that for a long time now, although it is worse than it used to be

Yeah that’s sports, it’s fucking children’s games

This subreddit is no better then espn when it comes to sports drama and gossip lol

way too many people

This place hasn’t been about basketball in years.

Honestly, this is the worst era for this subreddit; I miss the clips and the days when people actually talked about basketball.

Is this your first year following the NBA? Way too many games + no contact + caring about your outfit more than your game = whatever the fuck this product is.

Have you seen how many dumb posts get upvoted in this sub

r/nba was frothing at the mouth to hate on Embiid

In other news, Embiid dropped a massive deuce while at the Sixers practice facility earlier today

Isn’t that sports in general? And with the superstar driven nature of bball it’s just inevitable

Fuck yes we are

I think this sub is a shithole

However drama does tend to follow lebron around

Full disclosure I am a hater

LeAccountable

I mean yeah, storylines are entertaining in sports. Shocker.

He gone

LeGM! Updoots to the right

We didn’t start the rumor

Not sure how he hasn’t completely lashed out, and I don’t mean passive aggressively.

I would cussed every single last one these guys after the countless made up stories. During the season, there’s about 20-30

hit pieces about LeBron and who he’s frustrated with, who he wants to trade, what he does behind the scenes, and the majority are

lies for engagement. Flat out fabrication.

Would’ve cussed them so bad, I would’ve been on every front page in the western world. Just hideous stuff I’d be saying.

Happy to live my private life as a nobody.

The media is waaayyyyy more pervasive nowadays than in MJ’s time. If the gambling stuff came out today ESPN, NBC, TMZ, Twitter, every single major media outlet and tabloid would be all over that. The conspiracy theories of his first retirement being a secret suspension would be amplified 100x.

Jaylen Brown said something privately about Bronny to someone on the sidelines and got videoed by some random person, and social media immediately deciphered what he said by lip-reading. That kind of stuff just wasn’t a thing back in the 90s.

So what I mean to say is, LeBron doesn’t just have the ability to get rid of the media. That’s why he is extremely measured about what he says publicly and why he tries his best not to give these roaches anything to feed off of. I mean it’s gotten to the point that people are just making shit up about his relationship with his teammates and spreading narratives off that.

Comparing media in the 90s to now is pointless. There is nothing anyone can do to control the media narrative.

Like you want LeBron to start “Cup Checking” everyone?

Why would Bron black ball MJ?

I’ll see myself out.

Kobe despised the media

If we can survive Mr. Big Collars, we can survive anything.

And Bron is about to experience the Philly media bullshit all the time. I can’t wait

Sixers have experienced some weird WEIRD stuff… It means something that Lebron shut this down so fast

And there’s really still some Knicks “fans” that still wanted that dog and pony show even after winning a title

He’s probably the GOAT, but I got my ring man, I’ll deal with the extension stuff any day over this mess lol

towards the sixers

nah, just towards Lebron. I like Philly.

More than the literal source? Low iq detected

Youre exactly right. Real or fake, this story was put out by lebrons camp to show that he is already the leader in the clubhouse.

Then, he looks even better, defending Embiid and saying the story is fake.

Which version do you believe?

Breen wouldn’t just make it up or take the word of someone who’s not in a position to know. He’s a pro.

You think he’s repeating what some rando says on the internet? That sounds really unbelievable.

Breen has a source, and it did happen. Lebron is just saving face for Embiid here.

My source tells me more than one person with knowledge of the event have verified it happened. You think Breen is just going to come out with an unverified rumour about Lebron? Use your head brother.

letsslopemup.gif

What makes you believe LeBron over Breen?

Yeah LeBron is just lying.

This is the fucking Bush-era “truthiness” bit from Colbert wtf

Because they never do?

The fun thing with LeBron and media is that it could be any combination of truth and fact.

Bron saying it didn’t happen is exactly what he’d say even if it did happen.

Breen saying it did happen is also exactly what he’d say even if didn’t happen.

We can know nothing.

Doesn’t matter if it’s true it not for most people in this sub anyway

Him being this quick makes it less sus… If the story was true Lebron wouldn’t even post about it…
