LeBron can finally retire, Ben Simmons is back

Have we gotten the Zion lost weight post yet?

I need a video of him banging threes in an empty gym

Edit: shirtless of course

Between this and Ausar making jumpers, all the signs are there.

intro to guns ‘n roses “welcome to the jungle” plays over the start of a lowlight reel

It’s hilarious how much money is tied in Ben Simmons from these corporations that they have to force feed this bs to us via media

i think someone already posted josh smith eating breakfast so we good to go

Mostly that year he sat out

Specifically the year Jimmy was there, but not the playoffs.

“Ben Johnson will be refusing to shoot at the basket in a NBA game within a month”

I think he means the Colin Cowherd Ben

Going to be passing up so many open layups

Nobody better than ben10 in the offseason

[deleted]

People will forget about this in like a day so he’s fine if he’s wrong, but a month later if Ben is starting, he can point back to this as evidence that he’s right about this stuff.

When everything that’s said is forgotten about in the next hour nothing really matters anymore

What is this credibility you speak of, is that what the kids call clicks these days?

People are really overestimating the level of play that’s required to start for the Kings.

He doesn’t need to be in his All Star Philly form. He would be a rotation level player for the Kings in his Clippers form.

Wtf does credibility mean?

In 13 minutes, there will be something worse posted and this will be forgotten

Its when he says “his 3pt shot has really come a long way, look for him to become a threat from there as the season continues”

Nothing. Nobody has an attention span for anything anymore.

Having the fear to lose it

Earlier this summer, Spears went on TV and said

“I’m hearing that [LeBron’s] likely coming back [to the Lakers],” Spears said. “And also I’m hearing that one of his old teammates from Cleveland, Kevin Love, could likely be joining the Lakers too. [Love] is an unrestricted free agent, rejoining his old buddy, I could see those two guys being reunited there.”

No shot Ben’s agent told Spears to mention his age though, definitely getting some angry texts rn.

Is it so hard to believe a super gifted former RoY could look like he could be decent enough to start for the Kings?

Hate this dude such a holier-than-thou shill

no way he should post this before getting paid

Oh no, the off-season 3’s are contested. By a 5’9 trainer

I still have hope he will become a serviceable 3pt shooter.

Yeah, look how much playing time they gave to broken down Russ last season and their outlook look going into that season wasn’t nearly as low as it is now. This is obviously Simmons’ team pumping BS to Marc Spears, but I wouldn’t be shocked if there was *some* level of truth to this.

Tbh I don’t even know what spot he’d take. If you’re going to be stupid it’d be Keegan Murray’s spot considering he’s really good

Over who, Sabonis? Lol

That Hannibal Burress bit where he says after he hurt his back he realized that most of his body is his back.

Funny enough this applies to me. Injured my back in college during weight training and it was bad for years. Went to a good PT about two years after college and fixed my back. Now at 30 I feel better than ever.

Brook Lopez famously had a broken back that was surgically repaired and totally revitalized his career.

”‘I mean, I still do, but I used to, too’”

ehhh i had a bad back when i was 17-18; needed back surgery and everything.

i’m now 40 and my back is significantly better than it was when i was 17-18.

all that being said, I think back issues are the least of Ben’s problems lol

I wish I could upvote this multiple times

I felt this in my back…and knees

that’s fucking hilarious (as a haver of a bad back)

my back is worse at 20 then it is now and i pushing 30. basically taught myself the entire genre of PT to get there tho

LeBron with a bad back in Miami but not Cleveland or LA til last year.

like seeing an old friend.

Yeah he just has never been the same athlete since those back surgeries

Just wait till Trae young is in front of him again. That back will start acting up lol.

and hes proven he will sit out, like joey porter jr more recently, if his feelings are slightly hurt. Just not a good combo for trust

ill have to see it to believe it

The difference is that up until now, he’s only played for big market teams. Now that he’s in a smaller market team, he’ll finally show his true power level.

I don’t get why he doesn’t just say fuck it and shoot it would rather have the rep of a chucker than coward…

He will always have the yips

And Ben Simmons leads the Kings to a 33-49 record!

It would be one of the funniest career arcs in NBA history. Like a legit MVP caliber season out of nowhere would be insanity.

He’d have to at least be avging the LeBron 26/7/7 which means he’s gotten over absolutely all of his mental demons with scoring aggression

Its not that Ben Simmons can’t be Sixers Ben Simmons again, which he probably can’t. Its that even if he does, Sixer’s Ben Simmons was still not that good.

No team will give him the same opportunity the Sixers did.

+ Zach Lavine all star season

You only named 4 positions, so that means there’s another one waiting for Ben to take it.

I mean, Acuff is a good shooter off the catch, so there is a universe in which Kings can run GSW type of offense with Acuff / Lavine running around picks (Sabonis is elite at setting them and even Simmons is decent) and Ben indeed starts in a poor man Draymond role, especially if Sabonis’ shot is reliable enough to be respected.

It’s a long shot, but it is possible.

But I agree, my money is on Ben’s agent doing a direct deposit to Marc’s account lol

Acuff, LaVine, & Sabonis together without two plus defenders sounds a lot like “we’re giving up 140”. I highly doubt Simmons is ever Simmons again, but anyone who can guard should be able to find a role on that team.

As a sixers fan I’m absolutely rooting for Ben , I wish him the best but it was great reading all the nets fans talk about him after the trade how they ripped us off to him being an amazing fisherman . We need the Ben Simmons biopic to be honest

“Back to sixers ben” is the new “hoodie melo”

Plenty of highly drafted rookie PGs start their career on the bench. And a good Simmons (I’ll take that with a grain of salt) is good enough to fit in any lineup spot 1-4

He can reasonably start over De’Andre Hunter

Kings are ass. No one on that team is indispensable other than the Acuff (until he proves otherwise).

You named 4 players why can’t he work at PF? His secondary role for the Sixers was point PF.

You got Murray, Lavine and Acuff who are close to 40% 3PT shooters.

This is the same team that started Westbrook last year.

[deleted]

Over who??

Kings might actually be a fun league pass team!

PG: Acuff Jr.

SG: Lavine

SF: Hunter

PF: Murray

C: Sabonis

That dropped a few days ago lmao.

I thinking the one who pouted during practice with a phone in his pocket
