I just don’t know why Christie pulled him. Even the Kings announcer said let him play.
Because Christie thinks he was punishing him.
I mean punishing him for what? He’s your best player and hasn’t played a game since February. Let him work. It’s not like they played him at all in the second half.
I didn’t say I was punishing him. Haha. Christie can’t coach him so he sits.
2 fouls before the half you pull them out to calm them down, idk what he was thinking leaving him in
It’s the preseason. He wanted to stay in. Let him
Oh shit basketball is back
Best announcers in the game
Stu wasn’t there today, Danny Green is replacing him on road games.
Danny Green was… Meh. Hoping he finds his groove throughout the season.
Ah alright I didnt watch and just heard bill here. Still nothing screams ball is back than hearing their voices.
If you cant tell im equally a Lakers fan lmao rotate the two flairs.
Pretty sure we cant have duel flair here like nfl and mlb subs
yeah Danny was bad IMO. maybe its just first game jitters.
Danny Green was on the broadcast several times last year too.
I don’t know, it just kinda feels like he’s reading off a teleprompter. His tone, cadence, timing, etc is just not there. That’s fine as an “analyst” at a desk where he just says piece before it moves on to the next guy, but an entire broadcast is rough.
Toronto have ex rap Alvin Williams doing announcing. He was super rough his first year and a bit but I really like him now.
I’m sure it’s super difficult to do but with all of Green’s game experience and insights im sure it will be worth it down the line.
Danny “had to do it one time” Green?
Danny needs to go
I swear Sabonis commits this types of fouls EVERY GAME he played for us so far
That was not a foul though, should’ve reviewed it
He’s literally moving bro. I agree it’s a soft foul but if they reviewed it, it’s still 100% a (soft) foul.
I mean 90% of screens in NBA is like that. Would be nice if refs actually started to learn how legal screen should look like.
Tbf, #43 fell on the floor. (I don’t know if he just sold it though.) Refs typically let it go as long as it doesn’t affect the defender as much. Although yeah, much better if they actually enforce legal screens more consistently.
I believe that is a point of emphasis for the refs this season. Along with offensive players extending their arm on step backs
Its not even soft, just a clear cut illegal screen
They don’t call this at all anymore lol, what a joke
Must have not have watched the Lakers last season Jackson Hayes had this call called at least once if not more every game
That’s kinda the thing though. They typically don’t call it, but if they do call it, they can’t overturn it because it’s technically the correct call.
They call the hip screen every game, watch them for once
Review a preseason foul? Why?
So he gets in game shape?
Why wouldn’t you try and practice getting the right call? This is supposed to be preseason for the refs too. Get the call right.
100% a illegal screen, what are we talking about. You cannot extend your hip like that or move, foul in two regards.
100% a foul. And refs have been asked to key in on illegal screens this year. Hope they call it consistently. Draymond might never play a full game for us tbh, but im tired of bigs like Joker literally shoving guards coming around a screen ans never getting called for it.
His face looks too skinny for his body. Like those hollywood starlets who went full bones with new meds.
I was thinking amphetamines
This is just how Sabonis should always be officiated. Half of his drives are offensive fouls with his elbow raised.
This was a good call
POV youre playing the lakers
Refs practicing that lakers whistle early
Makes sense a Warriors fan doesn’t know what a moving screen foul is, they never get called for you.
Wasn’t that a push from Luka?
No. The NBA put out a demonstration video for officiating a few days ago that helps explain differences between push offs, creating separation, and holding off your defender.
Ohh alright. Thanks for clarifying!
I’d say he has dinner plans but then again it’s Sacramento
Sac is a great town with good food!
I don’t live there, just taking shots at it isn’t the same as it was 15 years ago.
It’s been about 15 years since I’ve been so u might be right it was pretty bad when I went
I feel like small towns would have excellent food. Like the diners on the Hallmark movies.
Sacramento is not small, and the food is incredible. Not sure where you’re from, but I’m willing to bet that if it is better, then you must live in a major city.
Lmao I’ve lived in LA for the last few years. I was just clowning around calling Sacramento a small-town though. I know they’ve got good restaurants.
is 500k really a small town
2.4M in the metro area. No, not a small town. Just not a huge city either.
Anyone that plays against the lakers is picking up fouls
I think that’s a weird joke, mid-game…
What makes it weird?
Like lol that’s what makes the joke better
Get out the plastic cutlery
Do you think Sabonis is in a rush to go get surgery?
lol clearly no crossover NBA/NHL fans here, my bad
Honest that’s kinda been Americana since the 50s… I got the joke though
What is this announcer talking about? Even if he fouled out of the game, he couldn’t leave the arena and go hang out with his bros. He would have to stay with the team.
“Nothing goes over my head! My reflexes are too fast, I would catch it”
Is that a reference to something? Sorry. I must be out of the loop.
