The Bones Hyland Experience has been fun
I wish the clippers kept him
I keep trying to tell people man contenders should want those young iso ball guards if you can get them for cheap
Why would a contender want a poor playmaking/middling efficiency score-first player that is a massive playoff dropper?
Also, Bones is 26, he’s not some young player anymore. He’s going into year 6.
Every contender could use a Spark plug off the bench. He’s so cheap that there’s no pressure to play him and he can easily swing the 10 or so minutes he plays.
except when we were so injured we had to play him and he was atrocious to end the year
He’s so cheap that there’s no pressure to play him
He’s a minimum level player, which is the point I’m getting at. I don’t know why contenders would or should line up for this guy when, for the most part, he’s just not a serviceable NBA rotation player in the playoffs.
I’m actually surprised you’d say this because he was straight up fucking garbage in the playoffs last year for y’all.
Because he’s a great regular season spark plug guy. He hasn’t been great in the playoffs but he’s not gonna get a lot of minutes there regardless, and he’s still def capable of taking over a game at any moment
A vet minimum, 39% shooter from 3 who can handle the ball and drop 20+ every once in a while, and everyone wants to say he’s worthless???
He averaged 16 minutes last year and still had 7 games scoring 20+. 11 games of 18+.
Having that regular season production could be the difference between the 3 seed and the 6 seed in the playoffs. Or the 6 seed and the 8 seed.
You just described a phenomenal 6th man option for a team looking to make a deeper run into the playoffs.
A lot of sixth man options are either playoff droppers, or ppl that need consistency around them in order to flourish.
And don’t name that freak ginobli as an example. He’s literally the best sixth man ever
Did I?
Bones “phenomenal 6th man option for a team looking to make a deeper run into the playoffs”:
Playoff career: 6.3⁄1.0/1.3 on .336/.280/.861 splits with a .478 true shooting average.
Like what the fuck are we doing here? Do you guys just not watch Bones? He’s a below average NBA player. He’s a sometimes-fun regular season guy that is flat beyond dogshit in most cases where there are actual stakes.
Denver traded him cause his sister said Murray was an overrated bum.
Now in 2026 nuggets wish they could get off that Murray contract
Nuggets traded him because he thought he was better than Murray and walked off the bench during a game. It was so bad they made him fly home on his own and the team voted to not give him a ring.
Bones himself admitted to needing to mature and grow up.
Yeah, he’s doing well now but the reddit whitewashing of his early career is always entertaining.
I wish he was this guy on the Nuggets. He is talented.
It is so strange that we have people defending Bones Hyland acting like a toddler
Lolol you should hear how people defend Kobe raping teenagers! Ball go in hoop, all sins absolved.
I think it’s in poor taste to make that comparison. Bones Hyland is not a rapist and it’s not really my business if he was immature or whatever. I’m not supposed to enjoy watching him play because redditors think he was rude to Jamal Murray or something?
19 is legal clowb
Idk the exact stats but we probably have as many lobs in this game as all of last season lol
Ant like “gaaaaaah damn” another athlete.
“Damn, he jumped from Ama Dablam.”
“Where’s that, is that even a real place?”
“Nah, that’s how high that bitch was.” 💀
he’ll disappear some games, be amazing in others. It’s what Kuminga does.
So sick for $6m/yr tho
no doubt. At that price I can’t argue at all. He fumbled the bag so hard.
Then he’s perfect for a MN sports team.
We are so fuckin back
What does that even mean as a Timberwolves fan?
A 4-2 loss in the western conference finals?
That would be a good outcome for sure
I’d take it
3 WCF series losses in 4 years after 0 appearances in 20 would be pretty funny ngl
I would be ecstatic if the wolves made it to the WCF again. Past few years have been amazing as a wolves fan.
[deleted]
God damn why didn’t we think of trying to win a championship…
Minnesota sports fans are happy with any playoff success
Well superstars usually win their first ring between the ages of 27-30 years old. So two more full seasons from now would be when Ant enters that age range.
That’s the highest peak we’ve ever been able to achieve.
Flair up sweetheart.
I think they clearly meant like, the NBA is back lmao
ion know man that’s pretty good lmfao
Right, idk where all these championship or bust people are coming from, the Wolves didn’t even make the playoffs for like 20 years, I’m fucking feasting rn
Beats what 26 other teams in the league do that year. Reaching the 3rd round of playoffs is lot more enjoyable than hoping for good lottery luck.
fr people sleep on winning two playoffs series as a fan being fucking lit
No flair =kings or clips fan
Probably. Also flair?
You need to flair up so I know from which direction this amazing shit talk cometh.
Flair up
Hell ya brother.
Nice flare, brave flameking
Right. They are literally in their most successful stretch ever lol.
A Spurs fan dumping on fans of a historically bad team for getting excited about said team’s best stretch of play ever is just sad. Like congratulations, the team you happen to cheer for is historically good, it’s not a personal accomplishment.
Flairrrrr
Bot reported🤗
You’re talking to a ring less franchise, that’s not really the gotcha you think it is.
Right lmao
At least we will enjoy the post season again. You’re in for a rough decade
Yeah it happens lol I’m getting obliterated rn 😭

Wolves are scary. Hoping you guys meet the Nuggets again in the 1st round :)
Nuggets should dodge the matchup as much as it pains me to say
That was the funniest shit last playoffs. We were just like “you could have dodged us you fucks” while beating them
“you made me do this”
You might even say they are spooky!
Me too!! Always such a fun matchup
Have we ever seen a cold weather lob city?
Lobo city
Awooo
Such a fucking tough nickname, that fucks.
Oh shit
I think that’s Albuquerque
Stealing this btw thanks
Damn that’s not bad
THE MAIN MAN
They don’t call him that for nothing
Oh…..oh my, yes
Yes indeed
This is dope lol good one
Land of 10,000 Lobs
Wisconsin catagorizes any pass above the hip as a lob, then declares victory because they have more “lobs” than Minnesota’s actual lobs
Lake lobetonka
Lob Cities
Oh I like this one too
Lob Chilly
pistons last year
Love it. Timberwolves confirming my belief that they’ll be one of the most fun teams to watch this season 🤝🏽
even if they turn out to be a disaster it’s must watch tv. we WILL be tuning in
Love their new uniforms man
T wolves fans how has Kum Bucket been so far
Nice effort so far
He’s doing the small things. A handful of ill advised shots in there (nothing Bones or TSJ isn’t guilty of either), but he’s crashing the boards and defending well.
You’ll have to live with the hero ball type shots here and there. Imo it’s worth it for the athleticism he brings to the table.
Hopefully he’ll be on his best behavior for at least this year.
Dude is pretty much out of chances
Yep! It worries me that a few of the starters kind of exist in that sort of territory where taking difficult shots is what gets them going, but as long as he also does the other things (primarily rebounding and defending), then it’s worth it.
Here and there? Lmaoooo
it will be multi game stretches where he doesnt get anything going
I think Kuminga has a chance to flourish on the Wolves. They play a free-flowing game with Lamelo and Ant. He can be as stupid as he wants to be and the coach will give him a long leash. It won’t be like with the Warriors where a single mistake gets him to the dog house.
Besides, his play style is better suited for a fast-paced game.
I think I get what you mean, but also wouldn’t say “he can be as stupid as he wants” 😆
While not as kneejerky in the way he pulls players off of mistakes, Finch will still pull him if he’s doing objectively wrong
kerr is one of the most lenient coaches in the league. he gives pods 30 min a game and gave post santos and pat spencer solid minutes even though theyre all below average. kuminga’s problem wasnt that he was just making mistakes he literally refused to play in their motion offense. golden states offense is screening and off ball movement and kuminga likes to play AAU ball
Kerr plays high IQ players, not the athletic, dumb types. Trust me. I’m a Warriors fan. He played Moody more over Kuminga.
That’s why its a breath of fresh air that the Warriors actually drafted a smart player in the lotto that Kerr can play.
I saw zero hero ball shots. He was taking it to the rack and drew three shooting fouls in no time. These are all good things.
He had an ill advised 3 off a bones pass from the baseline, but otherwise yea
Wasn’t the shot clock getting low on that one?
That was not ill-advised. He was wide open.
That’s how I felt about him last year in the A. Wish we had the space to bring him back
Can we have NAW back???
seriously we have no room in our guard rotation but I miss that guy. Love see him balling out for you.
Over my dead body :)
He’s doing the small things. he’s crashing the boards and defending well.
Classic.
redditor try not to sexualize people they’ve never met challenge: impossible
??????? His favorite tv show was SpongeBob growing up.
Chum Bucket –> Kum Bucket
in atlanta’s playoff run he went 24 of 36 inside the arc and 5 of 24 from three. keep him on lobs and cuts and $12.4M over two years looks like a heist for minnesota
Inject it into my fucking veins. No matter what our games are going to be so much fun
Good luck to Kuminga! Have a great season.
Minni will be fun to watch this season
My goodness. I forget how athletic he is sometimes.
And it was a bad pass btw 😭.
The wolves are gonna be a fun team this year. Ant with the playmaking taken off his plate is gonna be scary
It really is exciting to think about Ant focused on being our #1 scorer and nothing else (save for a few big stops when he feels like it on D lol)
I love those wolves jerseys
Somehow this is kerrs fault
It’s interesting that they have a new offense. Finch said not everyone can play on that old GSW system.
well yea Kerr was DNPIng this guy when Warriors desperately needed youth, pace and rim attacks
Meanwhile Kristaps Porzingus is somewhere in a hospital room right now and the leading scorer behind Steph last night was Charles Bassey…
As foretold
lmfao
Light years….
Lmao just one alleyoop and we get these kinds of comments. Look at haws last year lmao.
the Hawks who won more playoff games vs. Knicks than anybody else?
Hang the banner
I’m not saying Warriors are gonna be good, but when are we gonna learn that preseason doesn’t mean shit?
And the Kuminga experience is always great until the wheels fall off. Just ask the Hawks.
how did it fall off on the Hawks lol. they literally won more playoff games vs. Knicks than anybody else and CJ McCollum called JK a winning player
Hawks let him go because they couldn’t match Minny’s offer. Plus his role in ATL is redundant. Wheels never fell off. He helped them win 2 games against the champs in the playoffs.
He really is the scapeGoat. The Alley-bi?
An Alley Bi has way different connotations in my head.
We went 4-1 in the the 2024 preseason and missed the playoffs. 6-0 in 2025 but needed Butler to get us to the playoffs
3-4 in the 2016 preseason, then won 24 in a row and 73 wins
Preseason means nothing
you really bitching about preseason?
meanwhile Podz throwing up bricks
It’s one preseason game.
Id rather have tinguspingus injured than hearing about Kuminga throwing another hissyfit
aka shit the media made up. Curry, Dray, Jimmy etc all had his back and praised his professionalism on the Warriors despite unfair treatment from Kerr
According to ESPN’s Anthony Slater, Jimmy Butler emerged as Kuminga’s closest ally and mentor after joining Golden State at last year’s trade deadline and privately questioned what he perceived as an organizational double standard in how the former lottery pick was treated. “Butler took Kuminga under his wing and Kuminga left viewing him as a genuine mentor, sources said, with Butler voicing to some that he felt there was an organizational double standard in the way Kuminga was treated compared with others,” Slater reported.

It reasonably would be expected that a player would become visibly disgruntled in response to such a situation. But Kuminga’s veteran teammate, Draymond Green, says that it has not been the case with the young forward. “What I will say about JK is – I applaud JK and how he’s handled this,” Green said in the latest episode of “The Draymond Green Show.” “Such a standup young man and great person and [he] will be a great player.” “I just wanted to tell that story because oftentimes when situations aren’t going right, we start pointing fingers,” Green continued. “And it hasn’t worked as well as anyone would have liked for JK here – for himself or for the organization. It hasn’t worked on both sides. And that happens sometimes in the business that we’re in. But I wanted to point out who that guy is and his professionalism and how he’s dealing with it.”

I’d rather have kuminga now. Ppl forget ge started last season hot. Then he got hurt. Things derailed. Just a bad situation. It sucks. If we could count on porzingis for 60+ games id take him over JK, but that’s a fat chance.
He fell back into old habits after the first few games in which the team looked good. The injury was a bit later
Best situation for kuminga, he actually looks happy
For all his flaws, he may be my favorite in game dunker currently
Kuminga was smiling all game. Happy for him already.
Wtf son😭
I get it’s the preseason, but they might be dangerous this season
Damn
KumBuckets
These guys are all smiles. Put the NBA on notice
2 Hawks legends.
Warriors legend, Jonathan THE HUMAN HELICOPTER Kuminga
Are both these guys coming off the bench? Nasty depth
Nah Kuminga is a starter. Unfortunately we are thin as fuck at the 4
Don’t worry, he’s gonna be great one game and shit the next. The key is to guess correctly which is which and only play him the good nights.
That’s ok for a 4th option
Kuminga starts, I’m guessing Bones will be the 11th off the bench so I don’t expect much of him tbh.
Bones lobbing to Kum Buckets
T-Wolves fans sound like we did during that first Wizards game lol. But Kuminga is kinda in a desperate spot now so maybe that will be the push he needs.
and Kuminga was Hawks 2nd/3rd best player into the playoffs when they won more playoff games vs. Knicks than anybody else
He was 2nd/3rd best during the two wins vs. the Knicks for sure. Not so much the rest of the time. But that’s the ceiling that makes him so intriguing.
yea idk why yall holding him to superstar expectations. you think Mikal Bridges was consistent the whole playoffs? or Dort? or Cam Johnson?
Not sure where you got that idea. No one has those expectations except him sometimes. The thing with Kuminga is that he has the high ceiling but also a low floor. He blacks out for stretches and just throws bricks at the rim, and then that feeds into bad defense. He can be a high level role player easily if he can just get out of his own way.
2nd or 3rd best 😭
As a long standing JK defender from his warrior days, giddy up.
Damn I might need to get league pass again
Anybody get the license plate on those knees?
This season is gonna be one of the best
lmao
fuck man, that was wild
I’ve always been a Kuminga skeptic, but damn that was a good dunk
and beats Bones back on D
Easily the most fun team to watch this season.
If you only watch kuminga and bones highlights they both look like top ten players lol
This is gonna be the most exciting team in the NBA.
Stay healthy enough. I can see them being top 2.
That looked like NBA Jam!
NAH SON!
Minnesota is just a team of YN’s 🥷
Still love me some Bones. A shame he fucked it up here in Denver he had the chance to be the backup PG. I get it though I fucked up my first career job too being young and dumb.
The new lob city
Commentary is so trash. How do you say fast break to forget (for the bucks at least) after such a play…
Calling it now. Timberwolves nba champions. Barring injuries.
Warriors fan obsession over Kuminga needs to be studied
Naz Reid could never
Don’t remind me. Fuck.
I mean…
https://youtu.be/vYwvnD6a8O8?si=kN6ZlXhUsb3WGnLi
Should’ve put the game 7 putback against the nuggets
The fuck are those T-wolves Jerseys??? They look like knicks but with green numbers
Look up “Doug West blue uniform”…these arent new, they are OG throwbacks.
i like the wolves flairs enthusiasm
but…yall literally have no depth. and is currently in the honey moon phase with kuminga.
there’s a reason why bones couldn’t even stick with the clippers who also had guard depth problems last year. dude is an inefficient shooter first point guard.
hawks fans will also tell you, kuminga was great when he played his role. then starts the inconsistency then comes the pouting.
> literally have no depth
Some rando named Antonio Reeves scored as much in one quarter this game as anyone on the warriors did the whole game
it’s pre season….
Right, a showcase of our depth
what are you on about…every team and their mothers play the all 13-15 in preseason
Such an ignorant comment. Ayo, Beringer, TJ, Lyles and Donte (when he’s back) is a really solid bench. Wolves are probably 3rd best team in the west this year
Gonna enjoy comments from salty Warriors fans this season 😁
This is the correct answer.
What are you talking about? Wolves are quite deep. When Dante is healthy they have 7 starter quality players. And then several more solid rotational role players. Bones will probably be 11th man
my dude…donte tore his achilles.
he also wouldn’t be a starter for most teams title contending teams. he’s a good back up but not starter material
yall got a nice starting 4 and is currently in the honeymoon phase with kuminga.
ayo is nice but who else is coming off the bench and contributing come playoffs?
or our you running a 7 men rotation through your the playoffs?
yoi need at least 10 for regular season then come playoffs you can trim down.
you want to know what actual depth looks like?
look at okc, spurs, nuggets, celtics, etc
What? Donte started for the Wolves all last season… who beat the nuggets by the way without two of their starters.
He’s saying Wolves have 7 starter quality… not 7 rotation players. Bones probably wont be in the playoff rotation at all with so many guards now.
Ayo, TJ, Beringer are all good bench players who I’d be happy seeing play playoff minutes, and Donte hopefully as a 4th
Joan, TJ, Ayo, Bones, Jaylen Clark, Trey Lyles all are nice bench pieces. Plus a lot of our young guys are promising and liable to breakout. Not to mention when Donte comes back. And Donte would be a starter on nearly every team.
what will Hawks fans tell you? that they won more playoff games vs. Knicks than anybody else?
meanwhile Kerr went 9-19 after the JK trade and Podz is laying bricks in preseason lol
Are you suggesting that Kuminga alone would have carried a team missing its two top stars, Porzingis, Horford, Moody injured, two-way and 10-day contract players, to a winning record?
