I was at the Sixers scrimmage and players were signing balls and tossing them, two grown men got into a tie up over one for like 15 seconds.
Finally one of them was capable of feeling shame and let go. Neither one wanted to give the ball to the dozen kids around us.

I need a pen that can do this, but it needs the proper balance in weight to able to spin around my thumb while I’m thinking. They almost always bleed. Well, at least the ones in my budget

I don’t know why anyone would downvote this, you’re totally right. Seeing my own child happy fills me with joy like nothing else.
My parents took me to a lot of Raptors games as a kid since they knew the coach, so usually just great seats. The guy next to us caught a signed ball and gave it to us without second thought. It wasn’t even a look of envy or disappointment I gave off, he just did it. Really friendly guy.
So like 4 years ago I was at the Canadian Open and in my section it was basically just me and an older couple. Simona Halep hit a signed ball our way and I sort of left it to them. Hopefully she didn’t see it as “I don’t want it”. But a cool sort of full circle/pay it forward moment.
