He seriously has the best court vision I’ve ever seen from a player. The way people talk about Magic Johnsons passing abilities has me thinking if that dude is somehow better than jokic, he must have been throwing passes through defenders chests, because I don’t know how you could possibly get better than this.
Jamal Murray has the easiest PG job EVER.
Not only the court vision, you can see a guy, but the execution is beyond ridiculous. We are talking one of the top 3 passers ever, together with Magic and Kidd/Nash.
The game is completely different, its much more complex and harder these days, players get better as the talent pool gets bigger and they get to watch more and more players. Not to mention the improvements in training, tactics, probably down to the nutrition side of things. If you watch full games back, you’ll see what I am talking about. So I wouldn’t say Magic is a better passer, but maybe greater considering its like 40 years ago and greatness is defined within eras.
I understand that it’s a completely different game, but if you’re just strictly talking about putting the ball through small gaps, leading passes, and anticipating players jumping passing lanes the way Jokic does, I don’t know how it could get better.
If you put Magic in today’s game with access to everything Jokic has, I don’t know how he could be better, as opposed to 1A/1B.
Throwing a ball to someone itself hasn’t inherently changed much, it’s just the way offenses are spaced, the speed of the game, and making passes to players I’m spots that they otherwise wouldn’t try to score from 40 years ago.
He saw Cam’s man was sort of cheating, I think it’s Svi. I wonder if Jokic considered that Svi’s body angle wouldn’t have allowed him to intercept the ball. Jokic seems aware of very small details.

He doesn’t jump already in preseason… he like barely touched the rim in some dunks, at least it looks like. They should have kept Watson and traded Gordon for good..
They need to trade Jamal. Much easier to get a pg that can play defense and shoot a bit. Then they get a decent wing to play with jokic. Can be 3 and D or scoring too. Doesn’t really matter.

disregard the fact you do not have that money (team) to do so. Not the best analogy/example but you get the point. Why do we insist on placing soooo much weight on a team accomplishment over individual skill/talent etc. Place some weight… sure.. but then discount it the other way when a ‘top 5’ player has more rings and a stacked team.
