This dude was so fucking fun to watch during that stretch
mannn those knees I wish they held up.. what a fun player to watch
I wish he learned to land gently!
When he made that layup between Wade and LeBron and almost made LeBron cry 😢
He waited to cry at home in the shower instead. One of them ugly cries.
One pattern of his dunks was that he landed on one foot instead of both. It could have contributed to his injuries.
This is still so crazy to me, landing one footed while jumping that high while sometimes running super fast too… like did he not feel those impacts? It’s painful to think about.
100% did. I mean, you don’t notice it much in real time, but you watch all these highlights and once you see it, you notice every time. Almost quite literally every dunk.
He also had a messed up gait so his lower body mechanics were constantly trashing his joints
This hypothesis is always told, when DRose comes up but as a matter of fact he didn’t injure his ACL after landing on one foot.
Nevertheless landing on one foot while your body has still forward momentum is dangerous.
Wish he would’ve learned to land on his ass, man. Kyle Lowry cheeks in the offseason, and he’d still be playing. The lord only takes. Smh my head bruh. Lowry cheeks.
Call me the Lord cause I’d take Lowry’s cheeks
As a KU fan i recall noticing this during the NCAA championship game. Big fan of him and his game so I don’t really like being proved right =/
I can’t help but notice how he landed on one foot.
If any young hoopers see this, remember to always try to aim on both feet. Injuries are far less likely when you land on both feet.
Goes for non-hoopers too, knowing to land safely when you’re jumping or falling is one of those life skills that pays dividends. Saves you a lot of joint pain and, in old age, it’s the difference between breaking something and dying in the hospital, and being able to dust yourself off and live another decade.
I agree I just called out hoopers because it’s a basketball sub
Ngl my job requires me to do a lot of jumping and I’ve always known this without someone having to tell me. I thought it was common sense
Movement is usually intuitive for people who grew up playing sports and/or work a physical job. But the majority of the population has no idea how to move their bodies. I’m a fitness coach for a living and most clients I take need to do at least 8-12 weeks of posture correction and learning how to move before it makes any sense for me to have them lifting heavy weights or doing intense cardio.
you would think
The handful of times I’ve help some friends learn how to snowboard, I always tell them they need to learn how to fall properly. You’re going to fall no matter how quickly you pick it up, so learn how to fall into that momentum and spread it out instead of trying to stop it so abruptly with as little movement as possible. Slide on your ass or back down the hill for a while if you need to.
Thats always been his issue
Its such a shame how injuries ruined his potential.
What are you doing dragic??? Didn’t you get the memo! Rip Stacey king
Still younger than LeBron. Insane how many careers have come and gone while LeBron just remains
how can I make this post about lebron
Bro is a 76ers fan. His new daddy just arrived - let him glaze.
Likely became a 76ers fan when LeBron arrived
True. LeBron is just…kinda there still. Time to move on.
The young Bulls vs the defending champ Celtics is one of my all time favorite playoff series.
Watching prime D Rose was unreal, everyone watching his games expected to see a highlight like they’ve never seen before. Moving like a blur and getting to the rim at will. Everyone expected him to be the next big superstar who would carry the NBA brand like LeBron for years.
No. Everyone didn’t expect that’s just people who get caught up in the moment
That’s my MVP
We men.
They don’t like that reminder around here
I remember that one clip where the announcer said “his knees look healthy”
Man, what could have been.
Sounds like he got jinxed
it’s crazy he managed to play til 35
Those tragic landings in retrospect 😔
Those landings are hard to watch with hindsight
Landing on one foot. That’ll do it
Knowing how his career ends, watching this is rough. The dude just always landed on one leg from so high in the air.
By far , one of the most overrated players ever. Played in the weakest division of all time, in a weaker conference. Avg a whooping 24 and 7. Sure, he was athletic ;, but that’s it. Only won MVP because of bron fatigue.
He wouldn’t take no for an answer
Youngins these days don’t even realize how good he was. Won an MVP before his prime even started
Kinda crazy since he is from the 2010s where you got social media. Idk i got this feeling like just a couple of years ago.
That era with him Noah and deng one of my favorite big three before the big three I love Joakim Noah
Rose, Russ, Wade, CP3, Lowry, Wall, Cousins, Dwight, Melo, Aldridge, Blake, IT, D-Will, Rondo, Kemba
So many 2010s icons are gone now, time really flies
D-Rose was so fun to watch back in the days but it’s unfortunate injuries really ruined his career and he never got to enter his full potential.
Just had to be there
Happy birthday to him, but man people glaze him to no end
Deserved.
Forever hating thibs!🥺
