Knicks were much more than just a team that got hot, you should know this. They won the NBA cup and were in the ECF last year, had a deep run the year before detailed by injuries too, 5 cohesive starters all in their prime coming together as one. Nothing lucky about 16-3, most dominant point differential in nba playoff history doesn’t come by just sneaking into the finals and getting lucky lmao

Heat look like they’re a decent PG away from being a legit contender. The Raptors, not even close.
The raps are way more contenders than the heat are.
The heat have an aging roster with a lot of streaky players such as THJ and a relic in Klay. A lot of injury concerns as well.
The raps have young budding players with a lot high role player upside such as CMB, shead, graves, Walter, and battle.
Kawhi, Barnes, CMB is insane defensively, and we were already number 1 in transition offense and causing turnovers last year without Kawhi.
We were the better team in the Cavs series and they won by spamming 3s, but we were better in nearly every other area outside of 3 point shooting. We shut down their top players. You add kawhi to the mix and we can easily beat any team in the east if he’s healthy in the postseason.
The Miami offense better hope Giannis can carry this team for 80 plus games because they’ve scraped by the last half decade.
Riley’s issue is he can’t admit defeat. They should’ve blown it up ages ago but they always keep their head above water with at least one star player and a lot of mid tier to below average talent.
The raps only issues remain big man depth and inconsistent 3 point shooting. However we have the luxury of mixing in tweeners and Kawhi helps us a ton offensively. If any of our guys improve their shooting it’s a huge bonus to what he already does, and his gravity will give guys better looks.
Absurd. No 3 pt shooting, Poetl is a stiff, and his backup is either a 6’7 fwd or an undrafted rookie.
Nothing says “better team in a playoff series” more than losing the series. The Cavs shot 58% from 2 pt range but only 34% from three in the series, so who got shut down? The Raptors were slightly more efficient from three at just under 36%.
Kawhi being healthy in the playoffs is extremely unlikely, after playing 65 last season he couldn’t cut it vs the 35-win Warriors missing 2 starters in the play-in game.
The Giannis Heat look like a legit top 6 team. The Kawhi Raptors don’t.
