> Besides Knicks, heat and Sixers is it really that competitive?

Absolutely, Pacers, Celtics, Raptors, and oh yeah the Pistons won the east lol. Even Hawks kinda talented also and even gasp the wiz have an interesting roster.

Edit: forgot the Cavs too my B

Umm Boston? Detroit? Toronto? Cleveland? All of these teams could feasibly win 50 games

Pacers are a wild card. Cleveland are a joke, but they’ll win games.

Knicks, Sixers, Heat, hawks, Celtics, pistons, raptors, pacers, and Cavs will all be good and competitive, hornets and Magic could be in the mix. Yes. It is really competitive.

you just summoned raptors fans with that one

Cavs, Raptors, Pacers, Pistons. Literally one of these teams will be in the play-in this season.

I’m sorry but if the heat are there the Raptors, Cavs, Detroit and Boston belong there to. I could even see the Hawks out placing the heat in the regular season.

wat? surely u can think of more teams…

I think there are a lot of teams that coul be suprisingly good/finally taking a step forward. You still have the pistons, that to me are a complete wildcard in how they will look as a team after the whole duren hold out. I still bleive that the magic have the talent to be a really good team, maybe this year is the year they produce something that looks like an nba offense. I would not disregard the celtics, i like pg fit better then on the sixers and tatum coming back to form could be enough to be a top 4 team in the east. And then you have the raptors with kawhi as well as the cavs.

Knicks and Sixers are the top favorites coming in to the season, but i think there are a lot of teams that could suprise in the east and some of them having deceiciv years for their front offices.

If the magic and cavs don’t improve, i could see them blowing it up, the knicks have that whole extension story they have to figure out, and boston could be looking at any available star to get back to the top.

Yes, very

I find it hilarious you got heat in that discussion lmao

Sixers is barely in discussions lmfao

they really did not say that last year

Cmon, no one honestly think that the Heat are a play-in team after acquiring Giannis.

They be trolling.

I disagree

Not this year, you better look around the east

It’s not the shooting % for me but how almost every shot we took were wide fucking open. I’m not used to that.

Your comment has nothing to do with my comment. It’s like you saw a Celtics flair and someone not glazing the Heat and just couldn’t keep scrolling.

The first quarter of the first preseason game is an insane thing to try to draw meaningful conclusions from. Like 4 Heat players started ¹⁄₁ from three. Does that project to mean anything? Had they started 0/1 from 3 would that projected to mean anything?

And I happen to agree that they are proven, I think the heat will go on to defend their play in tournament championship again this year.

Who’s guarding taytum? I like bill but that was so stupid lol. Idk bill, who in Boston is guarding giannis ?

And Toronto’s reserves passed CMB and Shead are 2-ways and training camp invites while Miami has their normal bench.

did we find Kyle Lowry’s account?

Man, it is very touching to see a non-Heat flair acknowledging the long-standing Heat hatred on r/nba. Thank you, kind sir/ma’am. You are a scholar and a gentleman/lady

I like the heat and have always been very high on them, it’s stupid to make a post about a preseason game.

im being facetious but wtf are you talking about season worth of data that we have

we dont have any data on the new team together. we do have data that shows the Heat have good shooters like Wiggins, Mitchell, THJ, and Fotenccio though. and Bam and Giannis can at least take them and keep teams honest for their position

the idea this team cant shoot is gonna fall by the wayside within weeks of the season starting and will be replaced with “they dont have back court playmaking” which is their actual issue

wild how this comment is actually upsetting people. it’s not really meant to be taken seriously but alas

im being facetious. that said, the heat do just have better shooting than this sub thinks
