What do you guys use nowadays to watch the games? I’m talking about non paid methods..
back already that’s crazy
We’re back today wow finally basketball wow
okay so im typing this at work pretending to look busy while refreshing the game index every thirty seconds. my boss thinks im deep in spreadsheets but really im just counting down minutes until tip off. slept like garbage because of anxiety about whether kawhi plays or not. atp i just need to see basketball. if i miss one more deadline because i was checking injury reports im getting fired lol. worth it though
Can’t wait to finally have something to watch 😍
This summer the wait wasn’t as painful because I got into the wnba and that’s lit too. Still, super hyped right now.
bro i have work at 8am tomorrow and i am fully aware this is stupid but i cannot sleep until the games start. my brain just refuses to shut off because basketball is back. it’s like i’m trying to catch up on 3 months of nothing happening in one night. idk man, the fomo is real even though there was nothing to miss. now i’m gonna be tired as hell tomorrow but whatever, worth it for the first tip off.
Kind of a dumb thing, but just a random thought that I had while reading about the A’ja Wilson stuff and thinking about the “Westbrick” incidents in the wake of his retirement:
Why do we as a society have a lower bar for what‘s inappropriate for fans to say at an NBA/college game compared to a youth sports game, particularly AAU?
Im not arguing that NBA/college players should be subject to abuse, and obviously they should be able to point it out to officials and have that person removed if the person violated whatever rules the arena has in place, but as someone who grew up playing travel and AAU basketball the shit grown adults would say to children was insane. I heard everything in the book up to and including racial slurs while on the court from parents/fans sitting courtside and nothing ever happened there. Even today there hasn’t been a ton of change, AAU’s still a wild place where most stuff (short of fights or physical violence) is just kinda shrugged off.
Why do we not enforce these same fan code of conduct rules around children? Why do we, as adults, set a bad example for them by showing that shitty behavior is acceptable?
finally. i’m shaking.
is Giannis going to play today?
He is planning on playing, but probably just 1st half. Kawhi isn’t tho
Been waiting so long for this 🥹
I will be at the game, nba finally back ! Lets go Heat !
Haven’t said this in a long time, I’m excited to watch a Raptors vs Heat game.
Guess who’s back
This game could define the season
some are saying this is effectively the finals. not even sure why they’ve scheduled more games after this one
lets fucking goooooooooooooooo
Hoops is back!!!!!
thank god.
Is Kawhi playing?
Heat not playing everyone I think, Spo said a few starters will play I think and Kawhi couldn’t play with the squad all summer cause of the delayed trade so they are taking his ramp up slow, doubt he plays this pre season game, maybe the next
I’m calling BS on that excuse for Kawhi. He always plays 5-on-5 in the summer if he’s healthy. Why would it matter if he was with the Raptors? Also, Ingram and Dick were doing things with Clippers players before the trade went through.
the chances of our starters playing much got lower since apparently they didnt fly out until 2 am or something cuz of plane issues
Doubt that changes much tbh
He is available and with the team so it’s possible, but he hasn’t done full contact scrim yet so I would lean to no. There is a week break between this game and the next for the Raptors. My guess would be that next game will be his first.
he hasn’t done full contact scrim yet so I would lean to no.
hes not hurt right?
He is fully healthy, it’s cause he had no time to scrimmage or play with the squad during the summer cause of the delayed trade, so this training camp is his first camp this summer/fall, so he needs to take it slow before he ramps up to contact and live scrimmage which is soon
Not that I’m aware. The investigation put the trade in no man’s land so Kawhi couldn’t train with either the Raptors or the Clippers and did solo workouts. Now that he is with the team it’s a slow ramp up and starting load management early.
I’ve been waiting all my life for this
same bro. my first two words as a baby were “october third 2026, miami heat, toronto raptors, must see TV”
wait, this isn’t a Kuminga/Duren contract thread
i’m sure with enough dedication we can squeeze a few more in before the season starts
Basketball?!?
At this time of year?? At this time of day??
7 PM is a normal start time what do you mean
Inject all the overreactions into my veins
I just shed a tear. We’re so back
so fucking back
I just hope everybody has a good time and we can all be friends at the end of this…
Hahaha. Well I think we will be fine with this pre season opener.
You never know
Hahaha who’s gonna score 84? )-)-
We are so fucking back.
We are back!
