No one is claiming him but very possible he has a training camp deal signed already.

maybe a Raptors reclamation project?

Probably if he agreed to mutually part ways

Feels like every other team has a fringe guard to unload before November

I used to shoot 100% from 3.

Really? Yall only have two ways?

How much help does Bam need‽

my understanding is that hawkins is primarily a movement shooter and I feel like the pistons have lots of those guys. Duncan Robinson, Isaiah Joe, Kevin Huerter, and I think that’s Chaz Lanier’s MO too on the deep bench

Would rather see Hawkins for like the Nets or Suns, though New Orleans kind of needed what Hawkins is supposed to be good at last year and didn’t play/keep him so I think it might be cooked.

Id take a flyer on him.. we need BETTER bigs tho

Do they really?

They’ve got Joe, Robinson, and Huerter. They’ll have 48 mins of pure shooting if they want it.

Lmao no

When did we trade him?

Wouldn’t mind it cause he’s young and has some potential but we have bigger issues than at SG imo. What we really need is a 7 footer.

They need real two way players. They got way too many guys with obvious weaknesses

As a UConn fan, Hawk was great in college but you could tell the leap to the NBA was gonna be a question. He’s streaky, which helped him play himself into the lottery in the 2023 tournament and makes it nigh-impossible for him to have consistent and trustable performance. He could have some life as a bench spark plug if he can get his shot right but he was always a question mark.

Felt like he killed the Wolves frequently his first two years in the league. I always left impressed

lots of bad players have one amazing game. Malachi Flynn dropped 50 once.

Yeah, he’s pretty much bad at everything. He was projected to be a shooter but he’s been inconsistent at best there the past two seasons.

He was probably the worst player on the team for two straight seasons and the Pelicans won 45 games combined in those seasons.

He’s a shooter who can’t shoot. He is not good at all.

Had Pels season tickets and watched him plenty. Bad ball handler, cant playmake, cant defend, is barely an nba caliber athlete. The one thing he’s supposed to be is a shooter and he shot like 33% from 3 the last 2 years. Id be surprised if he even made a roster this year.

The problem is Hawkins came into the league to be an elite movement shooter…. except his shooting just hasn’t translated for whatever reason. Picture perfect jump shot, lightning quick release, but only 35% from distance.

A guy with him limitations needs to get that around 40% to contribute in the NBA, and Hawkins just hasn’t been close.

He’s one of the worst players I’ve ever seen wear a pelicans jersey. Can’t name one thing he’s done at a below average level in the last 2 years

You and I both. I need him on my Pistons.

He’d be the 8th best shooter on the Heat and has no other skills, absolutely not. We’ll pull a shooter that can cut and hustle out of the g-league over a guy like that.

with his shot he’d be lucky to find a team in Bhutan

Hell no. The last thing we need is another small guard that can’t play defense and would take minutes from our actual prospects

Why do contenders want a guy who couldn’t get minutes on the 2026 Pelicans?

Isaiah Joe 2.0 incoming

Not knowing who a lottery pick from 3 years ago is isn’t a flex. It just means you don’t watch the NBA. At least your flair matches.

Any player joining OKC in free agency, especially as a guard is dumb asf
