I’ve been watching the NBA for 30+ years, and Dirk with the ball with 10 seconds left was the most confident I’ve ever been that a player was going to hit their game-winner. He was so clutch and could always get his shot by that point, and it felt inevitable the moment he got his 1-on-1 ISO.
The series against OKC he was even better imho. Like OKC threw everything at him and he was just automatic.
Oh for sure. His game 1 was one of maybe the 3 best playoff games I’ve ever seen someone play live. He was completely unstoppable. 48 points on a 94% TS% is a ridiculous stat line.
Once he incorporated that one legged fade it really was just a matter of him getting to his preferred spot at that corner of the high post.
I know Heat fans will never beat the rap of so many heading to the exits before the Ray Allen shot. I also know there was some real anxiety in that building, as it would be for any game where your home team loses a 15-point 4q lead. Having said that, it is just not that loud in there at all
