To deep right field?

then flash cutted to you know what happening, morbid but legendary edit

unfortunately the watch this drive and then Tennessee quote weren’t part of the same speech

Fool me three times, fuck the peace sign

Load the chopper, let it rain on you.

This song is definitely where I learned the quote

Fool me three times, I’ll trade you to the Lakers - Nico

at what point do you have to take accountability for getting fooled over and over again?

We shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of Skinny Luka.

We’re talking about his weight not his ability to ball. Stories come out every year about Luka being in the best shape of his life and then he’s noticeably fatter than his early years

If it just stops some of the cravings or cheat meals or something it shouldn’t lose em muscle.

I’ve been on a glp 1 and can play even more sports on it because it’s so much easier to eat right and less wear and tear on the body being light.

Even bodybuilders use retatrutide nowadays. If you do resistance training actively and eat enough protein you really don’t use any significant lean tissue. Ozempic is almost like a archaic drug at this point. These new weight loss drugs target multiple receptors at the same time, not just glp 1

They prolly get better experimental drugs then the general populace

i think the main reason people lose muscle mass on glp1s is because they don’t know how to diet and don’t eat protein or work out, bodybuilders use it to cut weight too (i don’t condone their use btw anybody should be able to use 20lbs of fat with some discipline)

Probably microdose and or perhaps cycle it or something

Even without exercise, it’s typically about ⁷⁰⁄₃₀ fat/muscle loss which ends up keeping relative strength about the same. Since they’re professional athletes doing significant exercise, they are probably keeping significantly more muscle. I don’t think athletes on GLP1s is anything to worry about.

Doubt they lost too much strength. Losing lean muscle mass sure, it’s a trade off but best believe they’re faster, stronger, and better.

Also, these guys play ball and not a body builder. Their bodies have fully adapted to the movements they’ve been doing their whole life.

I’d say the weight loss could have a small benefit on reducing the strain on his leg but really it’s not why he got injured

The bigger issue is him having to play too many minutes because the roster was paper thin last year

I agree but not my point. My point is all of the jokes in the comments are alluding to the idea that he’ll be fat again once the season starts, completely missing that he wasn’t fat all last season and hasn’t been so for well over a year

Dallas in shambles once again

Yeah, and everyone was making these jokes last year which makes sense. Now it seems a bit silly since he has been committed for an extended period

270? bro went full “blueberry girl” from Willy Wonka

I doubt he was ever 270 maybe 265 at his peak when he just got traded to Lakers and was still recovering from that leg he injured twice

Im not gonna fault the guy for gaining a few pounds while his legs injured from trying to carry the Mavs to a finals

Except that didn’t happen last year

It’s a fake narrative used to discredit Luka. He’s Led the league in scoring twice and came close another time while he was considered “fat”.

What could be is simple, put a better team around him

You don’t win MVP without a solid team unless you get lucky and win it as a 6th seed like Jokic or Westbrook did but that’s rare

I don’t think there is another level, the only thing that can improve his game will be having a better constructed roster instead of triyng to run pnr with guys like Ayton and having no defenders on his team to cover for him. He is not gonna average 40 points, its not possible to stay healthy for a full season like that.

Just needs the team to convert his passes more, which in turn would open up more space for him to get his buckets, and defensively needs a proper PoA and a rim protector for the most part. Which is I guess what every team needs anyway

What more tho? He is already incredible, his March run was legendary. He got hurt, even people with the physiques of greek gods can get hurt. It happens. I think he is the 2nd best player in the world behind Jokic and that he is the most incredible offensive player in the league and we still expect more from him? It’s not like he’s inconsistent either.

He’ll have to stop complaining to the refs to do that.

Preferably without his knees bleeding

Oh yes the potential of being the clear number 1 or number 2 player instead of sometimes being considered the number 1 or number 2 player usually behind another chubby white European.

He has exceeded his potential, the guy is the best offensive player in the league.

I dont think hell go back to being that much of a slasher. Hes still as efficient without putting himself at a bigger risk

Fully agree with you bro, just saying that as fat as he was back then he still gave the league 34 9 10.

Top 10? He’s never been outside the top 5 since his second year in league as far as I know

6 1st team all nba by age 27. Doesn’t get more consistent than that

it’s more crazy you’re getting upvoted for this

if weight helps his game, why would he not just put on muscle instead of just getting fatter? his cardio has been pretty ass the last few years, it’s plain as fucking day if you look at most of his splits

starts so many games at like a 30 point half on near perfect shooting then ends with like 30-40 points and 30-40% shooting and he’s huffing and puffing

if half of his shots are going to be from 3, i don’t see how being heavier helps his game, especially when he clearly has stamina/mobility/injury problems

i’d give you the benfit of the doubt if his shot selection was different but i don’t see how being heavier is better for 3 point chucking and worse stamina

I think what limited Luka from being the best player in the NBA is he is always injured or not 100% in the playoffs. Its a reasonable take that his weight is probably contributing to that.

Peptides are snake oil.

That’s very easy since we never get to see him play when it matters anymore

do you have any idea how little that narrows it down?

Warriors are going to limit turnovers.

Much easier for him to get slim.

I’ve seen them both in the playoffs. He is not white harden.

not that much more defense

Less defense

Harden was like the best post defending guard in the league for years

Same career is likely too. Good enough to eek out a deserving MVP, but he’ll never win a chip.

Never implied he should be a twig lol, just saying he could drop a bit more bodyfat.
