Obviously he’s a 1-in-a-billion talent and he could win titles without getting a handle on it, but I think if he finds a way to keep cool and not get so frustrated, he could be one of the greatest ever
Glad the tides turned back to people embracing him. He was public enemy no.1 after the finals (kinda deservedly so), but the online redemption tour this summer has earned him back a lot of goodwill

No he still signs for kids and stuff, just never as much as the other players. In year 1 I was able to get a tunnel access pass during warmups and the first thing they told us was that Wemby doesn’t usually sign in the tunnel but the other players probably would.
Wemby one of the few superstars that is actually a regular, normal dude that we all can relate to. Really helped make the case that he actually reads before every game.

I hated the spurs as a kid (because they were good and I was a Nash and LeBron fan) but now they’re one of my favorites now that Steph is not contending. Wemby is awesome

Outside of his on-court antics, he’s always been pretty cool. Nice to people, nice to kids, live a good life, nerd habits, no baby mommas, no scandals. Just a hardworker with great talents.

Hard not to like Wemby. Dude seems far more thoughtful, sincere and courageous than your average person let alone NBA player. He is humble and unafraid to take public stances on his values. How refreshing.

During the playoffs, I was a huge Wemby defender. “It wasn’t that bad”, “bro was just trying to get them off him”, etc, but watching it back…. yeah lol. Mf was losing his cool faster and more easily the more games he played.
I don’t really mind that scrappy, more serious energy during the playoffs, but I really hope he’s been been able to work on his composure and focusing that energy into his play. Genuinely, I think that will be key to him winning a chip.
