There is an argument to be made that while Pablo Torre’s reporting has been phenomenal, his podcast hosting entertainer-adjacent role diminishes some of his earned journalistic credibility. Granted, that criticism ignores some of the reality of modern media, but there’s a reason why Opinion sections and News sections traditionally didn’t carry the same bylines.
