Yeah, I definitely feel bad for how things turned out for him. I think he really bought into the team, the fans really liked him and he seemed to be pretty happy and be a good teammate. It’s a business at the end of the day and the Raptors are always going to take that opportunity to trade up but he was one of my favourite players on the team last year and it sucks to see things not work out for a guy you’re rooting for.

Fans treated him like shit towards the end of the year, and especially in the Playoffs. He didnt play well by any means but finding out that he tore his Achilles makes me feel so bad for how the season ended. I wish it ended differently. He was great in a Raptors uniform. We’ll always be grateful for what he did

I get that he’s always just kinda like this, but it’s true that he’s gone through a lot over the past couple seasons.

I like his game a lot and would love to see him in his rightful spot as a 2nd/3rd option for a true contender. People forgot how good he is because he’s been forced to be a 1A recently, which he really isn’t.

He’s probably out for the season right? With his injury history and having Achilles surgery in May, doesn’t seem like he’d be ready to play until close to the end of the season at the earliest and, by then, they might not have a reason to bring him back.

I’m no doctor, but I have read several times now that a partial tear is about half the recovery time of a full tear. If a full tear is about a year, then half of that is six months. He had the operation in May. Six months after that is November. If I had to guess, I’d say we see him in late December or early January.

But I doubt the franchise is overly cautious with him like they were with Kawhi. Kawhi was the only way the Clippers could contend. BI is just here until his contract expires.

The Raptors FO and media feel like they do more than other teams to make players feel wanted. I wish they toned it down because they will ship you whenever the opportunity arises, just like any other FO would, but it ends up feeling more bitter.
