Kelly Olynyk is close to joining BC Roma. The team’s president and founder is Donnie Nelson, Luka Doncic is also a founder and a minority owner while Bryan Colangelo and Chris MullIn are team’s executives. The team’s goal is to take part in the new league that the NBA will create in Europe.
BC Roma is closing in on Kelly Olynyk. According to Superbasket, the 35-year-old Canadian center has reached an agreement in principle with the Italian club and is expected to sign in the coming hours.
The 211 cm forward-center has made 842 NBA appearances between 2013 and 2026. Throughout his career, Olynyk has averaged 9.8 points and 5.0 rebounds, while shooting 36.9% from three-point range.
The Canadian has also earned more than $120 million during his professional career.
Olynyk arrives in Rome after spending the latest season with the San Antonio Spurs, with whom he reached the Finals.
The 1991-born big man also represented Canada in the 2027 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers in late August.
