I think basketball players are generally skinnier than you’d think. They’re freakishly tall, have to run fast, be laterally quick and jump high, and they have to be able do that for like a decade.

I honestly don’t think LeBron was 290 at his heaviest, 270 at most imo.

Someone close to me is legit 6’6” with very little muscle up top, skinny legs, and a beer gut. He weighs 265. A 6’9” professional athlete ripped with muscle is going to weigh a lot.

Basketball players are heavier than you think. They are solid muscle with very little body fat and inches of height add serious pounds when you are made of muscle.

He was 20 when he came into the NBA, and is 31 now. Not that hard to naturally “fill out” like that over a decade, particularly through your 20s, especially if you’re already 6’8”. It’s not going to be all lean muscle mass, but he wouldn’t have had to stunningly overeat or “get fat” to do it either.
