Nearly the entire Lake Michigan coastline between Milwaukee, WI and Grand Haven, MI = a great place to be… in the summer anyway.
Within this corridor, you’ve got:
Chicago
Milwaukee
Indiana Dunes National Park (western half doesn’t count).
Beautiful beaches and beach towns, especially between Michigan City, IN and Grand Haven, MI (and beyond, but then you get really far away).
The only stretch that is ass = steel mills & oil refineries between the south side of Chicago and Burns Harbor in NWI.
Overall, it’s a great region to spend your summers in. And having a boat that is fit to navigate Lake Michigan - which is obtainable for NBA players - is like a map unlock cheat code in GTA.
