Zion Williamson dunks from the free throw line, days after being listed at 6’7 285. [2018]
duke zion was something special
Wasted potential
I’m obviou biased, but I’d always wished he made it to Miami to get the training he needed to be great. The fit definitely doesn’t work anymore though
Zion if he practised abstinence
And a good dietician
From food.
Statistically he had one of the best college performances ever.
Damn he’s gotten big
Crazy that he legit only had a 4 step run up after he did a stutter step and still got so much distance
Too much beef for that kind of bounce, as his knees feet quickly found out.
Did he even have a knee injury ever?
Edit: He had one his rookie year, none since
I stand corrected! Mostly foot, one knee way back in the day.
He had a knee injury in college too, from when he exploded through his nike shoe.
I wonder if those were related
Infuckingsane
He should’ve at least competed in dunk contest, at least have some legacy there instead of being remembered as the biggest wasted potential
Vince is a massive wasted potential too, he wasn’t a winning player despite all the skills and attributes he had, but he was a decent contributor for a ling time and people will always remember him as a dunk chanp
Calling a Hall of Famer AND one of only 5 NBA players to have 25k points, 5K rebounds, 4k assists and 500+ made 3’s…..a “massive wasted potential” just shows you don’t know shit about ball.
Sit this one out.
Edit: PLUS HES TOP 10 ALL-TIME IN 3s MADE.
Wasted potential discussions from people who have no real frame of reference of how much plays into an athlete’s career or the amount of work they put in
You’ll rack up counting stats when you’ve played 22 seasons. He only made all-NBA twice, and was never first team. Never went to the finals either.
VC definitely made a career of it but if you’re touted as next up after MJ, those results are pretty disappointing.
He ended a career as DeMar Derozan, not Michael Jordan, so it’s definitely a wasted potential. His stats were solid, he was a solid contributor across his career but he wasn’t a winning player.
I didn’t say he is a scrub or anything, he just didn’t scratch his potential, despite those stats, just putting it in that perspective.
top 10 in 3s made is cool I guess but Vince had all the attributes to be in the MJ/Lebron conversation.
he definitely didn’t live up to his GOAT level potential.
Every year there’s “people who have all the attributes to be the goat”
Being an all time great does NOT mean you wasted potential, especially given how long he played
1 exception would be shaq because well ya know
