I think they all have some black American point guard though because for some reason its hard to find good European point guards these days. At least the good ones play in the NBA usually, but the US has an abundance of good guards that can’t really contribute in the NBA or at least won’t have the opportunity to have the ball in their hands that much

This also explains why there are so many skilled big men coming out of Europe.

I dont agree. This lineups defense is not good. 3 dudes who are at best (being generous) average defenders.
It’s by no means perfect but they at least have a center that’s no total garbage and are fully committed to Lukas timeline whatever that may be.
Obviously they’d love to have a better 3&D player starting but they didn’t enough assets for one along with Kessler.

I don’t think Laravia or Mamu can start in a contender. 12th seed in the East, they’d be great but this ain’t a lineup that should plya a lot imo, mainly because of the defensive issues assuming Mamu can contribute offensively and Jake can do fine.
But defensively, that backcourt plus Jake and Mamu would be rough, don’t think those 2 are great defenders. Because you look at OKC and they have at least 3 All-Defense defenders surrounding Shai and the likes of Ajay, McCain, etc. Sometimes even 4 of those guys
Jake is a good defender. It’s his best skill… You obviously haven’t watched him at all lol.

Mamu was good for us in the regular season for the most part but he collapses under pressure and seems unable to play playoff basketball.
