I don’t think Dick at 8 million with him being a RFA and retaining his rights is all that bad and worthy of draft compensation if he discovers how to shoot again. He really improved at all other aspects of basketball since he joined the league, but somehow his shot got so much worse.
He misses really badly a lot (even when he played a bit better). It’s just a very inconsistent shot and he never has seemed particularly comfortable with it.

Not really. There are still federal investigations happening. And the fact that the report showed how many sketchy things Kawhi was involved in would not boost his trade value. The chances that another Kawhi scandal is uncovered is very plausible.

Most Achilles tear injuries are partially torn. The presence of bone spurs can lead to avulsions or other issues (like complete tears). Kinda wild this guy was traded being injured at this level.
It kind of seems like the Raptors gave up one of those picks to get off of the Ingram contract.
We have an expensive team that needed to continue to make the playoffs otherwise we’d be wasting Scotties first extension years. Poeltl is even less movable.
Getting off of Ingram’s deal (which is now going to be 2⁄80 cause he must be opting in the year after) was important if he was going to be injured for a part of this season with no guarantee on how that injury heals.
