The biggest issue is that they’re far too top heavy. Lack of depth kills teams in the playoffs, especially in the modern era.
Sixers quietly acquired Anferne Simons, Dean Wade and KCP in the off season. Also have Barlow on the bench who’s underrated. I think their bench is pretty serviceable compared to other teams but I get your point, especially if injuries play a part in the season.
I think KCP is kinda cooked at this point but the rest are good additions for sure. I think their depth can be good enough.

I feel like the only real weakness is your backup center spot but you have a few guys that can play it for spot minutes if needed in some situations. Will just need to potentially swoop someone up during the season/trade deadline to solidify it.
76ers are gonna be fun as fuck to watch this season, man. I can’t wait. Will def be pulling for them and Bron if the Lakers fizzle out come playoff time. I’m glad I can have a small rooting interest for someone else this season to a degree, and another team to follow to give me my basketball fix lmao.

“Depth” is not the way I would put it, but lack of high effort margin players. Don’t see you competing at the same level when you’re playing the Knicks wings, Spurs or OKC’s youth or even the Celtics and Pacers roleplayers. Embiid and LeBron can’t physically match that energy, JB is pretty bad at the role player stuff and from the bench only Wade has that profile. It’s a very talented team, but I think they might get run out of the gym a lot of games.
Wade will be great, but KCP & Simons have been pretty unplayable in the playoffs when they’ve last gotten there. I do like Barlow & Edwards though, I think at least one of those guys will end up with a big role by the end of the season
I actually like their depth. I guess the whole Embiid/lebron minutes angle is a thing, but they have 3 prime guys to play big minutes and Wade/Simons/Kcp are hardly slouches as reserves.
Big question is center depth. Knicks having Mitch last year was huge, look at what happened to the Spurs with Kornet and them losing those minutes badly.

What? Top heavy? They have the best combination of 5 players out of every NBA team and then they have good bench pieces in Dean Wade, Anfernee Simons, and KCP. They are one backup center away from being the most well rounded team in the NBA. When you have 5 all star starters, it’s easier to manage rotations with that many good players compared to having like 2 all stars.
Their starters are all ball-dominant except maybe VJ. Getting good team chemistry and managing rotations isn’t going to be that easy.

If Embiid is healthy they are going 16-0. If he isn’t, they are a 2nd round exit team. Just put him on ice until the playoffs and cart him out with all the cortisone his veins can take.
This is also unironically the first team Embiid’s ever had that can genuinely take pressure off of him. He’s gonna get random injuries or organ failures either way, but the issue has always been that he needs to rush back and play heavy minutes when he does play. With this team he could legitimately average around 25-28mpg in the regular season and have way less responsibility and load when on the floor too.
I would like to see a fully healthy Embiid in my lifetime in the playoffs, just once. Probably will never happen, but it would be fun.

Losing in the NBA Finals is one thing, but losing before that is unacceptable with this amount of talent. Heads would need to roll, Embiid’s tenure would have to be over and maybe even Maxey isn’t the guy going forward. Edgecomb is probably the only safe player, if LeBron doesn’t have him traded at the trade deadline for like KD or something.
