Yeah. A better title would have been how private equity is going to ruin the fan experience. Those games are going to be so silent because it’s just going to be rich ppl, celebrities and influencers at games that don’t give a shit about the actual game. Wouldn’t be surprised if the NBA starts artificially adding crowd noise to offset it because it’ll make the viewing experience so bad for nationally televised games.

Under David Stern, the NBA focused on making the game great and accessible while putting forth a clean cut image of the league. Anyone could be made an example at any point. Under Silver’s direction, the conversations around the league have become more about business issues and expansion into different markets. Along with changing rules so social clips become more viral.
