You could make an argument that you want Harden guarding SFs and so you want your best PG defender who’s an off-ball shooting threat as the third backcourt starter. And I could see that ending up being any of Watson, Merrill, or Tyson.

Treating Harden like he’s Garland kind of misses the point of doing the Harden trade.

They need to spend as much time figuring out rotation pieces. The starting lineup is one thing, but rotating players and maximizing the floor efficiency is what cavs struggled with last season.

We pretty much had a third of last season without a solid starting PG, a third with Garland, and the rest with Harden. It’s not easy to constantly readjust as it disrupts the flow and momentum. There was quite a bit questionable lineups for sure, but that was due to injuries
