And yet, there are plenty of things that can be taught. I ran D1 Cross country and track. I always had nagging injuries. At 27, I thought my running career was over. If I ran 3+ miles, I couldn’t walk the next day. One of my childhood best friends was an athletic trainer at Gonzaga. I reached out and she taught me so much about preventative care for my legs. I haven’t had that kind of pain since. All my nagging injuries that I thought were just something I had to deal with, are either greatly reduced or completely gone. I’m 35 and am still learning new things that help me stay healthy.
Now, Embiid has already had access to the highest level of care for years. So maybe there isn’t anything else to add. Maybe there is, though.
I don’t get how some of yall think LeBron just out here coaching everyone to better versions of themselves. Like LeBron even came up with everything he does to preserve his game or his body. Everyone needs someone in their corner and yes you can always improve, but I don’t get how that’s lebrons responsibility or why we would even attribute it to him.
Professional athletes are always doing things that make them as individuals better. Yea you could work out together, but embiid and lebron need to meet different goals, recover in different ways. Even if he could be like “I can get you in touch with a guy” it still feels weird to be acting well LeBron got Luka in shape and embiid is healthy for the playoffs so it must be cuz LeBron James. Plus saying it’s the best thing he could do for the league? The man is an outlier and he’s for sure not throughout the grind of the season getting with these guys and making sure their weight is right or conditioning good. These ppl have to do it on their own.
Some folks have insane conditioning. LeBron is one. In soccer it was cristiano Ronaldo. Most soccer players retire around 33-35 yrs old. I’d say he was pretty good till 37-38 (basically when he left manchester united) and that’s when he got an injury.
Lebrons another level though. Even at his current age it feels he’s more athletic than 90% of the league when he’s in playoff mode. His stamina has definitely been impacted with age though but he still has a high motor

Lebron wants to win a ring, he joins the sixers to try and win a ring. He cites embiid, a guy lebron has been linked to with rumors in the past. Embiid hasnt done it yet and lebron joins the team. Naturally, where is the conversation supposed to go? The sixers literally dont have a guy who can handle the ball and run the offense without lebron. Lebron makes this team complete. The jaylen brown trade only made real sense with lebron on the team. Lebron is the missing piece for this roster construction. Otherwise, embiid is the only real shot creator again. And without brown, you have the same issue of embiid/PG and Bron playing half the regular season.
The sixers won 47 games last year with embiid and pg missing half the regular season and a terrible bench. Now the bench is a million times better and they replaced PG with Brown and Lebron. Lebron helps the team a ton. The sixers have always been a talented but deficient team in all of their embiid era roster constructions. This is one of the better iterations.

I wouldn’t be mad, but the championship is definitely more meaningful having been built on the backs of guys who became the best version of themselves as Knicks.
